The final machine produced in Eggman's E-Series and also the strongest. Omega's powerful dual arms can morph into many different weapons - he is a machine designed for destruction.

Built shortly after Eggman retrieved the injured, unconscious Shadow from space, Omega was designed to guard the dormant "ultimate life form" and restrain him should he revive and prove impossible to control. As such, he was sealed away in one of Eggman's warehouses along with his sleeping ward. Omega, however, grew furious with his creator for sealing him away and - vowing to prove himself the strongest robot in Eggman's army - began blowing his warehouse prison apart. Shadow's containment unit was destroyed in the assault, awakening the dormant specimen. Rouge, witness to the carnage and surprise revival of Shadow, united the two dissidents in their quest for revenge.

The boisterous, energetic Omega enjoys his new freedom, but still holds a grudge against Eggman. He occasionally teams up with Shadow and Rouge.
