A tiny, mysterious planet that appears for one month out of every year in the sky above Never Lake. Known as the "miracle planet", the micro world is home to the seven equally mysterious Time Stones, legendary jewels that control the flow of time. When these Time Stones awaken, deserts revert to jungles and polluted waters become pure again - miraculous events by most accounts, hence the popular name.

Dr. Eggman, in one of his more well-executed schemes, chained Little Planet to a mountain on the shore of Never Lake in an effort to harness the Time Stones for his own evil gain. As usual, his designs were crushed by Sonic, who gained a deadly rival (Metal Sonic) and an even deadlier groupie (Amy Rose) from the affair.
