Old interview with Gibbon.

Post by Light Speed »

I was at my friends house the other day and I don't know the URL for The GHZ so I searched for 'green gibbon' at Google. It brought up this interview I thought was kinda funny.

http://www.sonichq.org/newsite/news/int ... gibbon.php

He makes a prediction that the Dreamcast will almost make it to the five year mark or something like that. So optimistic.

Let me guess, it involves something about drano and nekkid boobies.

There's a big interview with me in the November issue of Time Magazine. Look for it. I posed nude.

God willing, I shall get my online comic strip started relatively soon, and when I do, I plan upon working in The GHZ as an important part of the series, complete with guest appearences in the comic by GHZers past and present. With luck there'd even be a spinoff focusing solely upon The GHZ, which would be produced by classic GHZ writters and artists.

Heh, that would be cool.

And for those wondering, yes, in the main series "The GHZ" is supposed to be spun off from -- there will be nekkid boobies (amongst other body parts  ).

Okay, I've just got to ask -- where did you get the "nekkid boobies" GIF from, anyhow, Nathan? I assume it's from a videogame of some sort, but you know what they say about people who assume things...

I actually cropped that from an edited sprite of Mai Shiranui. NT's Christian so he's not allowed to look at nekkid boobies, or something.

Y'know, if I showed you guys a picture of me without my shirt on, you'd never mention nekkid boobies again.

One of the cons of being fat: you're tittier than the av-er-age girl.

That schtick was asigned to me by an outside party, so I honestly don't care what happens to it.

But a retractible one is so much more practical.

And a prehensile one is just plain more fun.

I'll stop talking now.

Does anyone have a link of these comics AND Midori?

And Scarlet, who're going to be the characters? GG!, popcorn, del, and nate will probably be the main ones, but will be just them, or everyone (as small participation, of course - OR no...)?

Well that explains the general disinterest in my comic...

Bats have prehensile penises.

The things you learn on PBS.

I was actually planning on working in every GHZer, past and present. And technically, I was just going to come up with the basic idea; I'd leave most of the actual comic to GG!, Del, Abby, et cetera. In short, the series would be a sort of "jam session" with the various writers and/or artists from The GHZ over the years contibuting different things to the series, but with a general fluidity between the whole thing, giving it a certain "mosaic" effect.

In a week or so I'll post info on the main series it's tied into (really, it's almost ready...), as well as "The GHZ -- Green Hill Zone: The Series"; I hope you all like it.

I was thinking of doing a GHZ sprite comic. I still have to figure out how to make one, tough. The script would be something like Bob and George: everything is quiet for a while, and then something big and dangerous happens. Check this idea: J.C. 14, revolted, starts attacking the forum members with an army who-knows-how-he-got-it.
And then everyone strikes back using their superpowers from the "With a great power..." topic.

I actually started making a GHZ platformer once. You know, with a little Green Gibbon that you could make run around and smack things with the veal cane. Which was precisely how far I got before I realized it was a stupid idea.

Del was going to be an entire level, ala Earthworm Jim.

Hmm, while I do think that's an interesting idea, sprite comics have a bevy of limitations with them. First off, there's the copywrite issue: you'd have to creat your very own sprite, or at least very heavily modify previous sprites, in order to get something that would be marketable (I was thinking the series could have some kind of merchandise: action figures, maybe?). And then there's the fact that sprites can only do so much; expressiveness would be limited, and elaborate camera angles would be impossible.

Though, personally, I think that Sonikku the Batousai would be more likely to ead an army of Trolls than J.C.14, they're both idiots, but J.C. is a more inoccuous kind of idiot; I kinda liked him.

Though, since The GHZ comic would be done by multiple people... your ideas are still very possible.

I actually thought of that as well. After all, between you and Tony "Cukkooguy" Nguyen, there's some real potential for a gem of a game. You could collect Drano cookies like rings (a jug a the raw stuff would make you temporary invicible), nekkid boobies would act as power-ups, furry porn would act as an "Eggman Monitor," and you could save Chao as an agent of SPIMOC in bonus rounds/mini games. A "typhoon" icon would act like a "Bomb Monitor," killing all opponents on screen), "Fried Pikachu" would be a "Shield," and "Gulpo's Puke" would be the "Special Stage."

You would also have to fight camel spiders (an "Isambard" icon can help you get through those), as well as the various "Douche Bags"/Trolls: Crazy Dude!, Bobadole, Mark Hamill/Hammil, Sonikku, My Mom Has A Bag Vagina (yes, this was an actual poster, once), and J.C.14 (J.C., it should be noted, would try to aid you in the end, before right he dies -- and he'd inevitably come back in the sequel, like that Boba Fett-like guy in "Megaman X"/"Rockman X". You know who I'm talking about). The plot would be that you would have to keep the Neo Crystal out of the hands of Zero-chan and rescue Moon. To do that, however, you will have to first pass Zero-chan's multitudinous bosses: the bUnKeY, Andy, (Moon's villainous doppelganer) Sailor Evil, The Purple Baboon, and others whose names I can't recall.

It could even be marketed through Tatsusoft!

Or something like that.

Yeah.

P.S.: In The GHZ game... just where would Pengo and Dark Lord Naka come into play? Eh?
