I'm really keeping my eyes on Little King's Story.
Basically, little boy finds crown that makes him immortal and gives him mind control powers. Crowns himself king and decides to conquer the world.

It's basically Harvest Moon + Pikmin.
I'm loving the vampire cows. And the Cow Knights.

Re: It's Good to be the King
I just got this today. So far I really like it.
First off, this came with one of the neatest pre-order bonuses, second only to OoT/Master Quest. It's a foam doll of the common Onii enemy about the size of a fist (or at least my fist). It's detailed enough and can stand up-right despite it's disproportionately huge noggin. Though I wish the didn't shrink-wrap it to the game itself; there is a somewhat conspicuous dent in the game box where the doll was. If you haven't pre-ordered, you can probably still get it due to disappointing general lack of interest.
The game itself so far is great, and I'm usually not into these types of games. Your subjects are a bit smarter than pikmin. Although unlike pikmin, you can't have a small team stay and finish a job while you go off and do something else. That game throws upgrades at you with which to better you and your kingdom, so you have something to due with your spoils of war. The town grows, section by section, and with it your populace; it's pretty easy to grasp so far (I'm about an hour in) and treasure is plentiful.
The style is very Skip-esque, very Captain Rainbow.
So, uh, just a reminder in case you forgot this game exists.

I got it. Love it. Will go into more detail when I've progressed some, but if you like:
* Overlord
* Pikmin
* Harvest Moon and/or Rune Factory
Or any combination of the above, you will like this game.
