Just found that interesting auction. 11 hours left for anyone who's interested, the price is insanely high though.

I have seen this book before, and given the Seattle location and all the VO stuff on auction I have a suspicion I know the seller...
It's interesting but it's not very cool, if you ever wanted to see how Sega intentionally (?) caused every piece of pre-1998 US Sonic memorbilia to use the same crappy artwork, this is the way to do it. It provides the rules and guidelines that licensees should apply to the characters as they appear on puzzles and lunchboxes and the like, but the example clipart they include is pretty sad. It's also not particularly long, I at least expected something longer and with more detail. I got the impression whoever put it together didn't really know much about Sonic or, certainly not much about what I would have liked to see in Sonic paraphenelia. I mean, sure, Sonic's a cash cow and all that, but I would have liked to at least seen some hints at quality control, that ideally Sega's standards were higher than this, even if licensees where following the bare minimums.
