Could someone clarify on the Supes timeline that justifies the difference between this Supes and the current Supes. I keep hearing terms like Golden and Silver Age. As well as a Crisis of the Infinite Earths. Either clarification or links to resources would be grand.

Golden Age Superman lived on Earth 2 with the original Flash and JSA, Silver Age Superman lived on Earth 1 with the revamped Flash and JLA.
