Other than Hellsing or Trigun, not a whole hell of a lot of anime I like. But one that makes me go crazy is Lupin III. It's decent sometimes, but other than the movies, it feels like I'm watching the same plot over, and over, and over...

Animes I hate??? Mmmh...

Well, aside from ALL of that canadian/"I-dunno-what-lame-country" 's "maraton" productions, which are "Martin Mystery" and a girly agents cartoon, Beyblade, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, and Digimon's last two seasons (I must say the first 2 series are, at least, descent) are the ones that I TOTALLY despise. Why??? Simple: Beyblade is the WORST concept ever. Yu-Gi-OH!'s characters act with coolness we ALL know they don't, and never will, have. Pokemon's plots sucks. Digimon 3 is just a piece of crap made to sell the cards, and the 4th one... hell, it really doesn't involves Digimons anymore... feh, it would have been better if they just named the series "Digi Rangers" or some crap like that.

Othe than that, I mostly hate everything CLAMP does (the art is cool, but I just can't stand homo's in EVERYTHING, and even less, a guy getting a giant blade out of his mother's vagina... that's just crappy), some SM seasons (I just like the season were "Witches 5" appears... because they have boobs).

Mmh... I didn't like Witch Hunter Robin mostly because ALL of the characters are loners with no real reason watsoever. Mmmh... EXCEL was cool, although I preffer Abenobashi... I love DB, don't ask me why, I just do (the action... and maybe )'m lame or something, but I enjoyed the plot), the same goes for Naruto and Moon Princess... mmmh... Onegai Teacher rulz!!!, "Now and Then, Here and There" is just phenomenal, Evangelion was good, and the movie was both exquisite and bizarre.

Oh yeah, I remembered... Inu Yasha and Gundam Wing were both crap.

... Macross is the greatest thing ever... just after Hal Jordan and "Once Upon a Time in the West", that is.

(Did that last thing made sense??? I dunno... but I don't care either, so be it)

Which anime had a guy pull a sword out of his mother's vagina? That sounds like something I must see.

Sounds like X to me. I think Delphine is a CLAMP whore or something, but I could be wrong.

O.o I like X/1999. I'm not really fond of the rest of CLAMP's work -- they have no idea how to do endings. And yes, that is from X.

Especially when heteros start holding hands and kissing and stuff, they don't have to rub it in our faces like that.

Please, the first two were just to boost sells on the action figures. I personally think Digimon Tamer is the best of the Digimon seris mainly because the writer wanted to fully emphasize the character development and plots which I massively enjoyed. Digimon Frontier I agree in that it was less then inspired.
I WILL say because I'm an emotional wuss, I cried in ALL four seasons of Digimon.

Thank you. The first two seasons were virtually 50+ episode commercials each, with whiny characters, low-budget animation, and bad writing. The real plot and character development of the series' characters didn't begin until they scrapped the old universe in Digimon Adventures 01 and 02 for the one in Digimon Tamers. However, this doesn't mean that the third season wasn't a commercial as well...it just didn't feel as blatant.

Frontier, however, was just crap.

What, because I cried in Digimon. Please, not like anyone has ever done anything that they feel is embarassing. I don't feel embarassed that I did cry. It helped me solve that one problem I had two years back, that I really do have emotions.

Exactly. Seriously, has there ever been an anime or cartoon or whatever that hasn't least pointed to merchandises or anything involving money or whatnot?

Me, too. THAT was a GOOD epsiode. The ending with the time passing for Fry's dog...sad, truly sad.

What does it matter? It did what it intended to do: make me feel emotional and cry as a result. I don't care how kiddified the show is or how mature it is, if it makes me cry, I cry. Hell, I'll cry at a Disney film if the scene is sad enough. It doesn't matter to me.

accoding to Disney writers, main characters can never have two living parents because then they're too content to motivate thhemselves to go on an adventure.

Hacks.

Explain Aurora from Sleeping Beuaty, damn it! EXPLAIN THAT.....oh, she never went on an adventure. She got cursed, then lived with fairies, then fell asleep for about half of the movie. Gah...

Seriously, I should do a research to see if that is true and considering I've seen just about evert major animated Disney films, I believe that...

Ariel - Mother dead.
Bambi - Mother Dead
Pocohantas - Mother dead.
Aladdin - Mother dead, Father Missing
Pinocchio - No mother
Hercules - Seperated from family.
Belle - Mother dead
Tarzan - Both parents dead
Simba - Father dead

Basically, Disney sees a child with two parents living as existing in a "perfect life" that no adventure could improve upon.

How deluded are they?

Anyways, according to more insight - they usually make the protagonist's mother dead because females are naturally "problem-solvers" and "nuturers". And would presumably swoop in and fix all of the main character's problems for them.

I'm guessing that most of Disney's writing teams are Jewish or Itallian.

The ONLY disney film I can think of with the main character going on a adventure is Mulan. She not only had both parents, but a grandmother as well. Well, her father was the main reason for her motivation though for her adventure...
