Actually, considering how little memory it would take up, if any DLC is released for Brawl it will probably be an N64 classic stage pack. But Nintendo's never done DLC for a game before, so don't hold your breath.
Well, actually, they are doing that stage of the day thing, though that's user-made stages, IIRC. Still, they have the system set up, so they easily could do it...

That's a lot of music! (Too bad about that last one, though. I wonder if it's the Crush 40 version... that would explain why it turned up on the True Blue album along with the Angel Island remix, after all...)
Meh, I think that version fits better with battling, despite the crazy vocals. Scrap Brain Zone? That came out of NOWHERE. I was still holding out for Chemical Plant, but this is a fine list. Especially Open Your Heart.

The Tetris music! What's that song called anyway? I think there was a version of the first Game Boy Tetris that had something else in its place.

Good, this means you can have any music you like in there? hopefully Scrap Brain for the tech background.

Too bad theres only 3 backgrounds, that mode shouldve been bigger, oh well..this game is big already. :ring:

I hope they use the complete Sonic Boom, at least. Just to alleviate the tedious and repetitive composition.

If not theres also the choice of bringing the song's percent to zero so you dont have to hear it. :PG:

Technically it's called "Music A", but it's based off of the Russian folk song "Korobeiniki". It reappeared in level 20 of Tetris DS, but I don't know what Smash Bros. calls it.

The spikes in the level editor surprise me; are they in any other stage? They seem way too Sonic-y to not be used for such a purpose.

Thanks. There are a couple of Game Boy Tetris ROMs floating around, v1.0 and v1.1. The only apparent difference is that the prior version has a completely different 'Music A'. Does anyone know what the deal with that is? Was the famous Tetris music really not in the intiial versions of Game Boy Tetris?

Y'know, I'm kind of surprised that nobody cares what Kirby's costumes are... Figuring out just how the hell Sonic!Kirby would come out is one of my more urgent queries, honestly. Somehow, we still don't know?

EDIT: Never mind, then.

I wonder what Sonic's alternate colours/costumes are... I suppose Shadow colourings are more than a posibility. But then, would they just recolour the Sonic model or alter the spines etc? I don't know much bout these things.

My god. The Sonic scalping thing is hilarious. I doubt it was intentional but it almost looks like an up yours to Sega. Sonic is in such a bad way these days that even modest little Kirby could hun him down and scalp him with minimum effort. The Sonic fur brings a new meaning to the term 'assist trophy.' I'm beginning to think Sonic would be happier living out the rest of his days making cameos in big Nintendo titles. He certainly can't have enough energy to be dragged through another epic shitfest.

On a side note. Who ended up voicing Sonic? Personally I don't give shit. Ryan Drummond was shite, the new guy was shite too except personally I found him slightly superior. His relatively understated voice acting in sonic 06 wasn't too bad. I'd always choose the Japanese option anyway but this campaign to reinstate drummond is bizarre as if his voice alone will save the franchise. I think creating playable and enjoyable games is a bigger priority.

It was proven at the E for All Brawl demo that Sonic's colorswaps are fairly weaksauce--only his shoes and glove-cuffs really change color, while Sonic himself just turns various shades of blue.

Also, this thread has an ever-growing collection of high-guality music-rips from the game. It's worth a look, IMO.

Kinda od seeing him there, new characters Like Shadow, Silver and Blaze look like Superforms, thats how "extreme" they are.

I miss the good old simple yet pwning days.

It's Silver. They're all normal. Shadow is an AT. Kirby scalps Sonic. Deal with it.

314 Tracks!! (lol, 10pi) I would seriously buy a seventeen-disc set for this game. Really. Team Galactic Theme, Mute City, a remix of the Pokemon Bike theme... honestly, if they'd sell it, I'd buy. Best 314 tracks ever put on my iPod.

And I would like to say that I did not express my absolute joy at that discovery earlier. I knew that Shadow would not make playable character, but even so I continued to hope that he would appear in some capacity, and my hoping was rewarded.

In other news; MewTwo, among other things now gives Melee great replay value.

Is Shadow the only AT? dang, so much for a Tails AT but hell, the less 4kids the better.

Lucario? I dont even know why hes so famous, dang..to many dogs in this game...shouldve been Mewtwo.

And no Mewtwo AT would suck.

Shadow's the only assist trophy? Thank god. No one deserves it more.
