This is apparently a translation of Shadow's profile from the Official site."Shadow had been asked to rescue Rouge by the federal government. He encountered a mysterious enemy "Mephiless" on the way of approaching into the laboratory. In the battle againt Mephiless, he was flushed into the future, there was...."

Yeah, I feel the same way in that the instumentals are good, but then when the rapping and cringe-worthy chorus starts, it just turns it into ass. =(Popcorn wrote:As with the Sonic game as a whole, I am in two highly conflicted minds about the theme tune. On the one hand it is clearly terrible (the vocals made me vomit up my own pelvis); but on the other, it's really a new and even fresh direction. I like the orchestral element a lot, and I think it works with the game's generally clean and bright aesthetic (you know, going with the cover art, website and so on). The rock elements are all right... I think it's just the vocals that kill it. Kill it, in fact, dead. "He's got the dope sounds pumping on his stereo." :(

Wow, now there's a place I wouldn't have expected Zebrahead to turn up. It is really weird to see two of my totally unrelated fandoms mash up in one place like that!
I'm not really digging the song though. Part of the problem is the lyrics, which are awful and don't even try to take advantage of Ali's surprisingly proficient rapping ability. This is a guy whose trademark is screaming out a million words a second in punk songs... I have to assume that he's just phoning it in here and collecting a paycheque. The other part of the problem is Matty, who recently took over as Zebrahead's new lead singer. I really don't like his voice... at times it sounds way too close to that guy from A Simple Plan.
It's kind of odd that now, when Sonic Team is finally choosing to get away from guitar-driven high-speed rock music, that they would choose vocalists from a guitar-driven high-speed rock band, but whatever! The pre-Matty Zebrahead had lots of songs that would have fit in well with the Crush 40 stuff.

I used to like Zebrahead quite a lot, although since Matty took over as singer I haven't really been enjoying their stuff as much.
Zebrahead is an anthemic pop-punk group along the lines of older Offspring stuff or maybe Pennywise. You know, lots of minor chords and "whoa oh ohhhs." It's not especially deep stuff, but I enjoy it! This song wasn't recorded by them, though. The only people from the band that are in this song are the singer and the rapper. They definitely didn't write the music, and deep down inside, I'm hoping they didn't write the lyrics either. I mean, the chorus doesn't even rhyme. It's as bad as "Open Your Heart!"
If you want to hear what Zebrahead usually sounds like, try looking for songs called "Rescue Me" or "Into You" or "Falling Apart". Those are all on the MFZB album, with the band's original singer. I'm not promising you'll like it, but you'll at least spot the difference between it and this Sonic song.

Me too, It grows on you too! Also I dont care about lyrics so its ok with me, I only care about lirics if theyre extremely stupid and have a boring melody like "Team Sonic's theme"BlazeHedgehog wrote:I kind of like the new theme music. :|

Godammit Sega. Why did they reveal that, thats one of the main surprises of the game.http://www.jeux-france.com/Webmasters/I ... 23_big.jpg

What Sonic Adventure DX should have had?
...Now i kinda understand how Sega must feel about me revealing minor details about upcoming game...
Finally, i like the intro music. One thing i've noticed about Sonic Team's games is that they all have cheesy main themes, ever since the Saturn days.
And now, for a new section to my posts that i like to call, "Ask the Sega Employee who knows so much". Here, i'll answer the questions about the new Sonic game thats been posted and i kinda got too lazy to answer until now:
White Acropolis is the name of the last stage.
Sonic is around a foot taller than he used to be. For example, in SA1, he stood around waist height compared to the humans in the adventure stages. In Sonic Next, he's around chest height (at least with Elise).
Shadow is now working as an agent for the government, a la James Bond, complete with witty lines and charming British accent.
Story wise, i think it's difficult for me to judge. I can safely say the story is a lot darker, but in a good way. Not the pathetic ShtH way. Consider it this way, Shadow was a BB Gun, Sonic Next is like a bare fist fight to the death. Some pretty vicious shit is gonna happen in this game.
For character development, Silver pretty much gets it all. His story is pretty sad, yet he remains pretty positive and tries to do something about everything. Elise doesn't develop in such a good way. The rest of the characters don't really develop too much.

OCB, can you please tell us why does Sonic go back to Emerald Coast? Time Travel stuff?
And what about Silver? Does he have a link with Sonic/Shadow?
And is Mephiles related to Iblis?
Are there more levels from older games? Just from 3d games or even from classics?
How does Silver do the time travel? With a machine? A special power? Accident?
Which characters do Blaze interact with?
Hope that's not too much questions =)

I hope this doesn't mean it's one of the games highlights, because it doesn't impress me that they're revisiting this already, the original scene really doesn't even feel all that "dated" yet. I think mostly everyone would rather see more nods to older zones from the classic titles than them already "remaking" areas from the 3d games.Godammit Sega. I was wondering, I remember reading that Blaze had more to do with this game than what people were saying, if she in the main game at all? Or is it more of a character for multiplayer things?
Also for curiosities sake, does Tikal make an appearance at all? I remember an interview where they said every character would show up somehow.
Annd finally, know anything about the voices? I've heard some strange things..

In reality Sonic and Shadow don't need much more character development when I think about it, we already know pretty much everything about them.
But does he also have a way with ladies and drink vodka?Shadow is now working as an agent for the government, a la James Bond, complete with witty lines and charming British accent.

There has been no hint of a Wii port and chances are, graphically, the Wii would not be able to handle this game in it's current form. A lot of effects would undoubtedly have to be scaled back or removed entirely, among so much else.OSM wrote:im just wondering if Sega has a wii port of this game in mind?
That would be why the Wii is getting Sonic Wildfire, and not just a Wii-ified port of this game.
