Hey, at least he's not shooting hookers and hijacking cars to the sounds of Linkin' Park which is good enough for me. *knocks on wood*
Where the heck is Bleuth anyway? After he makes his first major screw up (Titan A.E) his name hasn't had a thing attached to it. Kids today need another Nimh, or All Dogs. Heck, I'd settle with a Thumbalina or Anastasia (which, though both childish movies marketted at young girls, are oddly entertaining)
Blueth had major screw-ups before Titan A.E. *cough*Rock-a-Doodle*cough*ATrollinCentalPark*cough*.

And for my little Disney-bashing reply, Toon Disney sucks. I mean it is really sad that this channel that is supposed to be for Disney cartoons does not air any of its classic theatrical shorts but it will air Power Rangers. Power Rangers--on a supposed 24/7 cartoon channel. They also got rid of their Disney Afternoon shows on the schedule. =/

I feel like watching The Land Before Time again. The original, mind. God, it sickens me how much they've milked the franchise. They're up to what, seven sequels now?

7? Ha! The 11th part just came out a while ago.

The only one that was any good was the original.

Surely they'd've all evolved into pigeons by this point?

Disney can make time alter in an unfathomable manner to the point that you will be going to college with your grandchildren in a whacky mixup involving a time machine and an '86 Delorian.

So are you implying that the Aladdin and Timon & Pumbaa and Hercules TV shows were more acceptable?

If the ads on CN are any indication, they've actually gotten younger.

The Hercules TV show was great! The others all sucked it up royally, but Herc was freaking funny. The concept suited a TV show better than it did a movie.

I don't know what Don Bleuth is doing now, but it's pretty unfair to blame him entirely for Titan AE. I read an interview with him once, and he was pretty cheesed about the whole experience. The movie was so rushed that it actually had about five or six different directors... one to helm every major section of the film. That's partially why it all seemed so disjointed. But apparently there is some rule about how most of the time only one person can be credited as the director of a movie, so Bleuth was the fall guy.

There wasn't anything wrong with Titan: AE. Was there?

You mean in the literal sense, or in the "is it enjoyable?" sense? Because I thought it was flat-out fucking boring.

No wonder Bluth hasn't worked on anything sense, aside from the cinemas in Namco's I-Ninja.

It was boring? I have very vauge memories of when I watched it, but I think it was entertaining.

I watched it last year because it was on TV. I hated it because it was just so bland. Also, some things didn't really make sense (stupid nitpicky things). My friend and I noticed in that scene where he first sees the only other earth girl (you know, he lands on her windshield or something and starts wiping it with a cloth), he just pulled that cloth either out of his ass or thin air. We agreed that the hero's super power was producing pieces of cloth out of his ass.

Bluth produced the cinemas in I-Ninja? Is that what they blew all the budget on?

They got Billy West to voice I-Ninja too, for some reason.

Disney should die, already, or submit to just making series. That said, they cancelled Filmore! and okayed American Dragon.
What a fucked up show, that is. They tried to cram in every "kids thinks it's cool" cliche into it.

A rapping, mystical, dragon-shapeshifting, skateboarding, asian kid. Right . . . uhuh. What, he's not a prince, a pirate, and a surfer, too?
So are you implying that the Aladdin and Timon & Pumbaa and Hercules TV shows were more acceptable?
Timon and Pumba sucked, but Aladdin was actually fairly decent for an action/adventure cartoon.

It was pretty, and entertaining, but nothing special. The idea of "Chia Earth" was pretty silly, too.

My dad loved that part.

And for the record, by no means should Rock-A-Doodle be considered any less than a sterling animated film classic.

Who is gonna bet that Pixar is gonna make their own movies without Disney and they are gonna rock?. Unless Disney makes everything in their hands to prevent it of course.

Supposedly a number of Pixar employees have already signed contracts to stay with Disney once the separation takes place.
