Really? I thought it was a fairly decent clone of Monkey Ball, except with noticibly worse level design and an annoying camera. The core gameplay itself between the two though are practically identical, and really, for that it's worth at lest a go... Once you've got that damn .dll installed.
So you're saying that Sonic Heroes had good level design and a great camera?
I wasn't talking about
Sonic Heroes there, but
Neverball. And while were're on the subject, despite the majority of levels having brutally unfair designs, and
Heroes holding posession of what could be the most schizophrenic camera in gaming, the game itself had its moments (the first four and last two levels mainly). Granted, that's less than half of the game, but overall without any of the overzealous fanboy bashing,
Sonic Heroes was a borderline decent game, despite some levels deliberately designed to screw you, its non-existant plot, and workable but absurd teamplay gimmick. It scrapped into the 'average' category of the gaming spectrum only by the thinnest of margins, but by the same account is ultimately a tolerable game to play, and nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
And thanks for the compliment Locit.
