Apparently Sega Bass Fishing on the Wii is just as good as the original arcade and dreamcast versions were, with an added free fishing mode and some online rankings.
The only downside is lack of the fishing controller, forcing you to pretend with the Wiimote and nunchuck.

It's not much of a stretch. One part is rod-shaped and the other has a bit that rotates.

Huh. I did some more wandering around on GDRI, and found a thing on Now Production, some contract dev that looks like our Aspect for the 2000's. Their credits lists show that much of the Sonic Riders staff (and a little of SADX's) were with NowPro, and they name this studio as the people who did the minigames in Wildfire. They link to something about this on Sonic Channel too.

The problem is that is just the same freaking game, and nowadays there are better fishing games out there...

For the museum: Night of the Werehog needs a spot on the 2008 page. It does seem like an easy thing to miss mentioning, but if this first picture here is what it looks like, has this thing managed to get a screening in some japanese theaters?
BTW, yes yes ideas out of my mouth are so toxic and everything, but might I suggest grouping Unleashed's releases by version group (PS2/Wii, 360/PS3 versions) instead of all seperately?

I was actually thinking about that. I didn't do it at first because it's obviously just a promo for the game, but it's actually really, really, really pretty.For the museum: Night of the Werehog needs a spot on the 2008 page.
Incidentally, I played the US demo (for both 360 and PS3) and completely hated it, then I downloaded the Japanese demo which was just released and I swear the control is tighter (not saying much, mind). I still don't like it, but am I crazy?

So it seems, according to GDRI, that "Sonic Labyrinth" was like the most appropriate title ever. This rabbit hole was dug astoundingly deep:
I stumbled upon the game in SIMS' catalogue, credited as the directors. (SIMS as in, the people of Tails' Sky Patrol/Golden Axe PS2 infamy.) It shows "Minato Giken" as the developer. I thought it was someone's name, but then when I ran a search there for something else entirely, I found...well hell, it's a name alright. The name of an obscure development house, spun off from what would later become Arc System Works. And those Giken people took up the bulk of Labyrinth's credits. Sheesh!

And here's other fascinating tidbits i'm finding:
- A reminder of something I may have posted about here already but forgot entirely: the team responsible for the bulk of Spinball's programming was Polygames, formerly Sterling Silver Software. Sega-16 did an interview with someone (Lee Actor) who divulged this, which is why I thought I heard about it already, and GDRI happens to have the same interview.
- Some of the minigames in Sonic Shuffle were worked on by a studio called, ahem, A.I. Which was founded by...two ex-Sanritsu (SIMS) employees. What the fuck.
- This interview with Steven Dwyer, a former Now Production programmer who worked on Sonic Riders. A little bit of insight into their workings, and he was at work on the game for around a year and a half.
- These weird people who can't decide how their name should be pronounced, apparently did "production cooperation" for the Wii version of Sonic & Mario at the Olympics.

I don't recall where I read about it, but I think in Drift 2's credits, there were a couple names that had a habit of turning up in the Aspect games. Otherwise nope. The first one doesn't even have credits, does it?
