Suggestion from Shadow Hog. Although I was thinking of doing this anyway.

Why is every Wii game except Zelda so widely split down the middle?

Zelda had years of development and only used the Wii controls to slightly enhance a refined traditional experience. Virtually every other notable Wii game revolves entirely around its own control scheme, hence in almost every case it's a love/hate thing depending on whether or not you're satisfied with how the controller is used. It's probably always going to be like this with Wii titles.

I'll vote when the game hits Europe next Friday.

It's a solid game. I don't regret buying it in the least, and I suggest everyone on the board at least give it a shot.

I would, but I'm part of that Sad Cries category. I'll get a Wii eventually, but it probably won't be for awhile since I don't have a lot of cash at the moment and am too lazy to do my taxes. Still have TP sitting on my shelf though.

From the first 6 hours that I've played, it's been very enjoyable. It's a solid get for me thus far.

I lack a Wii. Though reading some impressions of Super Paper Mario and this game makes me wish I had one. About Twilight Princess, I'm still on the fence whether I should get the GCN version now or wait 'til I get a Wii and obtain the Wii version. I'm a bit leaning towards the GCN version because I need my new Zelda fix so much, however the Wii controls somewhat interest me and the fact that it supports widescreen is also a plus.

Oh, does TP GCN supports 480p or is that in the Wii version only?

I think it supports 480p, but not widescreen, as there is a difference. Don't quote me on that though.

I don't see why it wouldn't. Pretty much every Nintendo game for the Cube supported progressive scan.

Also, TP's Wii controls certainly don't make or break the game. Heck, I ended up even turning off the pointing for shooting arrows. If you're planning on getting a Wii already, I'd just go that route, but otherwise there's not much you'd miss by playing on the Cube.

I declared defeat and decided not to try to get one until my birthday (May 19th. I expect a card from you now), where I'll either get it as a present, or will be working agian and can afford to get one without blowing the semester's spending money and/or album funding.

I currently fall into the sad cries majority, but hopefully I can find a Wii soon.

Wii TP has widescreen, but no camera control - you have the "lock-on" button, and that's it. It doesn't affect much, but be aware.

In the exciting world of graduating university and trying to find real jobs. It's fun like being raped in the eye.

Real life is a bitch, isn't it?

Also, this poll is unsurprisingly heavily divided, but at least not as much as the last one was.
