Everyone has a favorite fighting game. What's yours?

Other.

Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram is the finest fighting game I have ever played. The Power Stone series is a runner up.

I refuse to vote in this poll being that you have neglected to include an entry for Strata's seminal Time Killers, the standard by which all other fighting games should be judged.

I don't play enough fighting games to have a favorite.

Guilty Gear is a real man's game.

Maybe you can explain this to me. I've never understood why some people perfer Power Stone over SSBM. I just don't get it.

Smash Bros., because I have lots of friends who all smoke weed and love Mario. It makes sense.

Second'd.

I like Power Stone better than SSBM, because it feels so outlandish, yet with a firm grasp of what a 3-D fighter should be.

Guilty Gear. Although Isuka wasn't too great.

I like Soul Calibur, but I won't tell you why.

... Well, arguments aside, Ishiwatari announced they are working on a new installment of Guilty Gear. I don't believe it's Dust Devils or the beat 'em up one for the PSP either. I hope it's X3.

Marvel vs. Capcom. I like flashy colors and Roll^_-

Soul Calibur, for the sheer amount of playtime it has provided.

Shaq-Fu, because it is simply the single finest example of virtual one-on-one combat that has ever been produced.

I like Street Fighter the best. Second would be Smash Bros., then the VS. games from Capcom, then Dead or Alive.

SSBM is first? But... but. It has percentages instead of HP! Surely you people can see that this is morally wrong

Percentages allways lie. Soul Calibur is obviously the best. Such a range and depth. All of human emotion in contained within.

The mini-quests in Soul Calibur were the funnest things ever.

This is, of course, to say nothing of the superlative Killer Instinct, the very model of beauty in motion and one of the finest pieces of interactive literature created in the last century.

I must also nominate the oft overlooked Street Fighter: The Movie game, a triumph of programming and creative design, based on the equally resplendent theatrical movie.

I'm afraid if I begin singing the praises of Rise of the Robots, the spiritually reverent tones in my voice will be skewed by the orgasmic fits the mere thought of such a fantastic milestone in interactive media will send me into.

I appreciate Virtua Fighter the most, so I voted for it. I'm not very good at it; Virtua Fighter 2 consistently bests me, and brutally I might add.

But it's an awesome game nonetheless.
