Sonic 2 Secrets
:FUS: :FUK: Sonic 2 concept art unearthed

Sonic fan Ice Knight recently managed to obtain Yasushi Yamaguchi’s original concept art that was used for the production of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The art confirms that time travel was originally planned for the game and reveals Yamaguchi’s initial ideas for the zone names and enemies.

The artwork can be accessed at Ice Knight’s website, Sonic Database, by clicking-on and destroying the Stingers that guard the front page.

There should be three, wait a few seconds for the other ones to show up. If you still can't get it, I'll link to the page.

I can't see the wasps...maybe because of Mozilla.
Can you give the link to the concept arts, please? ^^;

Enemy projectiles being able to destroy landscape and open up new paths is a really good idea, I'm surprised it didn't make it into Sonic 3.

Hum...back on topic, I like that frog badnik, it would have been funny in the game =)

And the idea with the bee and the hidden ways would have been very interesting, too bad they removed it :/

I've never been a fan of fan characters, but that scorpion design is pretty ace. It trumps a lot of the official designs.

While I do agree, your opinion remains invalid until you can be bothered to sign in, lazy-ass.
