Ho ho!

Although this clearly looks like the UGA side of Sonicteam, what with their Rez and Wacky Tabacky.

I hope Tillis is a hidden character.

Wait a minute. Let me see if I got it: idiot crashes a truck full of scorpions. And they fell at the girl. And the objective is to take her clothes off to get rid of the scorpions and see her (almost-or no!) naked. It's just a shame she's a silhouette.

No, she has to dance to get the scorpions off. See the last couple of screenshots?

That looks more like a UGA game than a Sonic Team one to me.

Looks like another insane, ultra-stylish, dating sim/adventure/music game where you have to complete several mini-games to get into some girl's panties. *yawn*

So would you buy it if the goal were to get into a guy's panties?

Problably.

This is what I wrote over at Gamiko based on my hurried only partially-literate Japanese.
I'm fairly sure there's a bit of Yuji Naka in this one, or at least he's got some involvement, because he was making all that "the rub is a neat sensation" and "it is fun to rub" and all that stuff back at E3 or whatever, he clearly sees the DS as a platform with a lot of rubbing potential, and this article/interview is full of statements along those lines ("I want people to enjoy touching" etc) so even if he's keeping out of it, well, I think this is a game he has interest in. It's all rub, the game makes use only of the touch screen, no buttons at all.

The game is called "kimi no tame nara shineru," or maybe "I could die for you." It sounds like the main character is this girl but I'm really not sure. Anyway, the genre is "still a secret," so what the actual gameplay is like is not explained, and pretty much all this stuff (like the "explanation" of the guages--"What is this heart guage here?" "We don't fucking know!") does little to unwrap the mystery. It appears to be a kind of adventure game, and it appears to be a bit of a dating game. However (in response to NiGHTS' question) my interpretation (could be wrong!) of what they're saying is that the game has very little dialogue at all, so it's not a typical dating game at all. The story is somehow conveyed via 4-panel comics which stretch across the two screens, but whether or not the player interacts with the story at that stage, I don't know.

A rubbing game with all these female silhouettes sounds like it must be totally aimed at guys, but they say they want it to appeal to girls too, and they have a lot of female staff working on it.

Those women are there for the male staff. Testing to ensure accuracy, of course.

That's a pretty windy translation. Most other places are just calling it "I Would Die For You".

So that is the actual title, then? "Kimi no Tame Nara Shineru"?

I think they ought to call it Scorpion Samba.

If Sega of America called it It (I) can be died, if it is for you. I would buy it in an instant. It is only fitting that the title should make as much sense as the game itself.

Hey, did you knew that Samba de Amigo (actually, we would say Samba do Amigo), has too much little of actual samba?

The big question is, what do you rub the screen with?

And is the DS made with a jizz-resistant casing?

Maybe Nintendo is just starting to get into the sex toy buisness for horny little teens?

Just starting?!

Have you forgotten about the mastubatory innovation that was the Rumble Pack?

I bet that's why all the girls I know like Final Fantasy VIII. The summoning scenes were exceptionally long. They just made my hands numb, to be honest.

They made my fucking brain numb.
