This is apparently a new slot machine just announced a few days ago. It's from a company called Rodeo. This is the website: http://www.rodeo.ne.jp, but it hasn't been updated since January so there's no info.

I saw "Chao Garden" and pictures of Chao. I read "Sonic Live", like "Xbox Live".
Then I noticed the "slot machine" :(

The title of this topic conjured up painful memories of the Sonic Live! comic, where Sonic bursts out of the TV screen and takes Ken Pender's kids into the Archie/SatAM world.

If anything, I credit it for clueing me in to the Sonic 1 level select code.cjmcray wrote:The title of this topic conjured up painful memories of the Sonic Live! comic, where Sonic bursts out of the TV screen and takes Ken Pender's kids into the Archie/SatAM world.

Re: Sonic Live!
When I first saw the ad for that magazine (in a Sonic & Knuckles Quest issue I bought in my only trip to the US), I thought it was something like Marvels or Kingdom Come. Then I downloaded it and saw it was more like shit or shit.

A chubby Hispanic kid told me the code right before I got a Genesis and Sonic in a Toys R Us.FlashTHD wrote:If anything, I credit it for clueing me in to the Sonic 1 level select code.

Re: Sonic Live!
I saw the title of the thread and immediately imagined Sonic in a mascot suit (with Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Eggman of course) on stage performing Crush 40 songs. First I imagined this, then this, then my brain shut off in some sort of emergency cerebral override to prevent me from conjuring up any more horrifying images.
Then I woke up about ten minutes later, saw that it was only a slot machine, and actually felt relieved.
Moral: With Sonic, it could always be worse.

Didn't they do that in Australia at one point? Like, back in the early 90s?RocketPunch wrote:I saw the title of the thread and immediately imagined Sonic in a mascot suit (with Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Eggman of course) on stage performing Crush 40 songs.
Also, thank you for reminding me of this abomination, which, fortunately, I have only secondhand knowledge of.

The only thing more fucked up than that Turtles concert thing, was the "Making Of" video that they sold seperately. I mean, really, you have to see it for yourselves to understand how vile and confusing it is.

Re: Sonic Live!
Hmm. If it were still the early '90s, I would've totally gotten into something like this.Sonic Live In Sydney
A 1½ hour live childrens show hosted at the park, Sonic Live In Sydney, was set in an alternate timeline based around the Saturday morning Sonic animated series and the Sonic 3 Mega Drive video game. Doctor Robotnik's Death Egg crash-lands in Australia instead of Angel Island, causing the scientist to attempt a takeover of Sydney, which is foiled by Sonic, Tails, and Sally Acorn at the end of the show. A subplot of this show involved Tails being shown around Sydney's landmarks. There was a large amount of audience interaction in the show.
Most of the music for the show was taken from Masato Nakamura's score on Sonic The Hedgehog 2, with three theme pieces; Sonic's That's the Score, Robotnik's Give Me Chaos and one sung by Sally Acorn. A recording without audience was made of the performance
And then a few years down the line, I'd still like it, but I'd be embarrassed for liking it and vehemently defending myself for liking it, all before Sonic Heroes comes out when I'd just say "screw it" and mentally revert back to the belief that such a stage show would be the worst thing ever.

Re: Sonic Live!
Huh...SA2:B-level graphics, eh? That's about the most interesting thing about this that I've seen thus far.
In fact, it seems to take quite a lot from SA2...
