[UK] New line of Mega Drive Sonic plushes

Post by big_smile »

UK retail group GAME Digital Ltd have added a set of plushes to their exclusive range of retro Sonic merchandise. As with other items in the product line, the plushes are based on the original Mega Drive designs.

Sonic & Tails are the only characters that are currently available. Plushes of Kncukles and Dr Eggman have been confirmed as part of the line-up, but it is not yet clear when they will be released. No other plushes are planned.

The toys are available from both GAME & Gamestation stores.

Now I ask, why am I wasting my time with a crappy, substandard teddy bear?

Haha, I remember it being 1992 and wanting a Sonic plus that looked very similar to that. In fact I got the Sonic one and my sister got a Tails one. I'd seen the Mario ones about and wondered if they'd be doing Sonic soon. A Megadrive style Dr Robotnik plus would be awesome.

They both have different mouth placements, that's a bit odd. But at least Sonic is getting more useless things with his face on it again that aren't the games. I'd probably buy them if they weren't nearly 20 dollars each without even considering the shipping.

The Knuckles plush doll is out. Saw it in a GameStation today. There are also miniature plushes available. No sign of Dr Eggman yet but according to Impact's website it'll be available early 2008.

Wow, look at that RC Sonic. It's like they somehow intercepted my Christmas wish list from 1994.

A 4GB Tails flash drive, huh? That'd be harder to lose than my generic 4GB SanDisk one was.

My friend had something extremely similar to one of those...
It was awesome, if you held it by the head and shook it, all sonic's/knuckles's limbs would flail around like crazy. We always held imaginary tournaments among all his action figures/ power rangers (we were 7...), It always came down to one of those two in the final round due to their flailing abilites.
The Velociraptor always won, though.
