So what's there to play on the DS, anyway? I've only played three games so far and sold two of them... the only one I still have is Wario. I'll get Sonic Rush later this month out of necessity, I guess, but despite what people are saying, it really looks pretty generic to me. So what's up with all that, am I just old? What should I be playing? Keep in mind that I do not care about Castlevania or Mario Kart.

Then there is some positive buzz about Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright. There is also that Animal Crossing DS(which has on-line capabilities) game which is coming out in a few days...

Also, does anyone know if Advance War DS is easy to get into for an Advance War newbie?

I think the first three or four campaigns act as a tutorial.

Pretty much. I've got Advance Wars DS and never really played the previous games and it's easy to get into. The only thing that's a bit odd is the learning curve. The first few missions of the campaign act as tutorials then it just suddenly starts getting harder then easier again!

When I bought my DS, a lot of people recommended Kirby, Advance Wars and Phoenix Wright, but I haven't any of those yet. The only game I've really dug into so far is Sonic Rush, which I've enjoyed.

I don't know if you guys are aware of it or not, being that you are all ignorant fuckwads, but Phoenix Wright is actually the fourth in a series of games originally released for the GBA. I don't know if it's a sequel or just a remake.

It's a remake of the first GBA game, I believe.

Mini-game collection? It seems to be like your basic 'wacky' music game in the same vein as Parappa, UmJammy, and Guitaroo to me. Heck, it is made by the people behind Guitaroo Man.

I played the crap out of Castlevania for pretty much a straight month, and I'm currently loving Kirby Canvas Curse and Mario & Luigi. Then there's Phoenix Wright, Wario Ware, and Sonic Rush to get into eventually. And <i>then</i> there's Phantom Thief Wario, another Castlevania, <i>Tingle RPG</i>, and New Super Mario Bros. coming in 2006.

Remakes suck my balls. If I decide to play that, I'll hunt down the GBA original. Castlevania I have no further interest in until Konami decides to do something new with the franchise, which I don't believe is possible on the DS except for a succubus-groping minigame or something. Don't have interest in much of anything with a Nintendo mascot in it, as they have all seen some extravagant overuse in recent years - Tingle in particular is utterly out of the question. I'm not particularly excited by New Super Mario Bros because it seems to be very much old Super Mario Bros except with aesthetically dubious polygonal graphics.

I want to play Another Code and Electro Plankton, and I think I could really get into Lost in Blue. I do not care about Metroid Pinball or Castlevania Rays of Disaccord or Mario Picross Double Deluxe or Sonic Rash or Diddy Kong's Banana Bonanza.

The original GBA version? Hell, I'm not playing the game on anything less than an original beta test kart. In fact, fuck that, someone give me a printout of the machine code so I can experience it in it's rawest, most accurate form.

Other than that, the current selection of decent games would limit other available not-already-mentioned choices to Trauma Centre: Under the Knife, maybe Nanostray and uhh....Bomberman? The 2 Pac-man games got okay reviews as well, but they look incredibly dull to me.

Has Pac-Man had any good games outside of the original? The first was great for its time, but I don't see how a viable sequel can be made from it.
