As is customary after each year’s World Hobby Fair, Sega Japan has posted a report on the event, which contains several pictures of the Sonic booth:

^ The pool side Sonic toy returned for the 22nd edition of the Hobby Fair

^ Visitors playing Sonic Rush

^ According to the report, players to the Shadow stand had to wait 2 hours before playing the game*

^ As usual, visitors could take their picture with either Sonic or Shadow.
Feel the Electric Shock

The Hobby Fair wasn’t the only big Sega event this month, as Takumi Yoshinaga, the director of Kimishine, was a guest speaker at Japan’s prestigious Science Future Hall. Watch Impress have produced an article on the event, although it doesn’t translate too well.
Yoshingaga expressed that Sonic Team have a number of ideas for games involving the Kimishine universe and would like to make a new title that draws upon it. However, in contrast to reports from independent gaming sites, such as GBA N64, it isn’t exactly clear if Sonic Team are currently producing such a title.
The director also revealed that he considered making Kimishine as an adventure game, but felt that the use of mini-games was more in keeping with the game’s tempo.
During the lecture, Yoshingaga discussed some of the different names that Sonic Team had thought of, including Electric Shock Love and Sudden Marriage.

New Sonic Café game

Although inspired by the classic fairy tale, the gameplay of this month’s Café game, Hansel & Gretel vs. Evil Witch, closely resembles Sonic Labyrinth. Hansel must navigate the Evil Witch’s maze-like garden to retrieve the three keys needed to free his sister.

^ The wolf (possibly from the Three Little Pigs) works for the witch and will try to stop young Hansel from completing his quest.
