Screw this realism. I say go with faux-AoStH instead:

Okay fine I was just looking for an excuse to post this. I can live with that.

Effort well spent, I'd say!

I just noticed that Eggman turns into AoStH-Robotnik for one panel for no reason.

Genius.

Oh man. That is fantastic. I love Tail's faces in the one before that, too.

A techno trance rendition of One-Winged Angel will be played during the final boss battle.

I dare someone to find more than 3 good songs on OCRemix that are not stolen compositions of others.

I like OCRemix, but why would it be at all appropriate for them to do this? They're good at, well, remixing things. Why would we want the music for this game to consist of remixes? The SF2HDR was good (well, mostly), but this is hardly the same thing, so I don't see how it's evidence that this would be done well. Many of those submitting to or affiliated with OCR may well be good composers in their own right, but if they intend to be writing original music for it it seems a bit silly to then put it under the banner of OCR... none of the tunes could actually be posted on OCR itself!

I used to love the shit out of OCR, and I do still like a few tracks from Project Chaos and Voices of the Lifestream and a few scattered others, but yeah, they all have a bad habit of veering off into really bland techno/trance/orchestral/metal "original material", that's never as good as the source.

That said, it'd be hard for anything they produce to be worse than the title-screen jingle we've already heard.

Wouldn't we want original music for this game? I thought this is a new game after all.

Well yes, and I'm saying that, judging from the original material that OCRemixers tend to insert into their remixes (or "remixes", as they sometimes end up), I don't think they'd be all that suited to the task.

I am, of course, being grumpy and prejudiced, as there must certainly be some genuinely talented musicians over there, but eh.

Well, if the developers aren't making original badniks for the game...

Gotta admit... the last place I expected to get a better look at the environment graphics was on the wall of some hotel. Companies should start releasing all new game screenshots this way!

If that hotel room existed back in the 90s, when I foamed at the mouth over anything Sonic related, I probably would have killed someone to stay in it.

Like seriously ended another human beings life.

Well, there was always this! Whatever that was, anyway. (I didn't get to go, myself).
