BUT WAIT, now he's wearing armor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0AvaZSfXmU&e
You know what Sonic needs? Hansel & Gretel. Now that would be a storybook worthy of a grotesque Sonic conversion. Plus they would finally have an excuse for on-rails gameplay because you'd have to follow the bread crumbs.

Re: Sonic and the Quest for Phallic Compensation
It looks decent to me. Just like Secret Rings but with a larger attack range.
And the Chaos Emerald City plot writes itself.
No, goddamnit. I want Sonic and the Yellow Brick Road. With sparkling silver shoes on his feet and flying monkeys! And a wicked witch dressed up as a pirate and Knuckles dressed up as a lion with green ribbons in his hair! You know what Sonic needs? Hansel & Gretel. Re: Sonic and the Quest for Phallic Compensation
I bet that golden armour he was wearing at the end of that last clip is this game's one-time Super form (ala Darkspines Sonic).
Also I'm seriously continually amazed at how lifeless and bland they managed to make the environments look. I don't think any 3D Sonic game has actually looked so bad in that respect.

Well if that's his superform in this game then that's ok I guess.

Looks cool to me. I can't see it appealing much to anyone who didn't like Secret Rings though.

Someone really needs to explain to Sega that nobody cares about vague online rankings without Achievements or points or something. There's only so good your time can be on level 5 can be.

And my response to yours is:Shadow Hog wrote:

Admitably, I would be slightly less apathetic if this wasn't a Sonic game.

At least Merlina (I assume that's her in the video) looks original. Until, that is, she removes her hood. Then she looks like a rather cheaply recycled Shahra. But that's nothing to get concerned about, I suppose.

Don't be surprised if Sonic has to fight a guy named Lancelotti. With an Italian accent.Delphine wrote:Wait, wait. The chick's name is MERLINA. Merlina. Merlin...a. Merlin. A.

The game would probably be much improved for this.Baba O'Riley wrote:Don't be surprised if Sonic has to fight a guy named Lancelotti. With an Italian accent.Delphine wrote:Wait, wait. The chick's name is MERLINA. Merlina. Merlin...a. Merlin. A.

Dammit, now I can't stop thinking about Mario prancing around in a suit of red-and-blue armor. >:CBaba O'Riley wrote:Don't be surprised if Sonic has to fight a guy named Lancelotti. With an Italian accent.Delphine wrote:Wait, wait. The chick's name is MERLINA. Merlina. Merlin...a. Merlin. A.

A Sonic and Mario game? Set in the Middle Ages!?! Now, THAT might be interesting. I can just imagine it now...

Yyyyeah, because the character-versus-character battles have been the highlight of the last decade of Sonic games.

You really can't. Unless you're talking about Sonic 06, in which case you really can't.P.P.A. wrote:I'll make you eat those words!
