Poor character design is what's throwing you? Really?
I was on board with how dumb this whole thing was because I thought the game was aware, too. But all these bland environments give me the impression that they're taking this very seriously and think the talking sword is even cooler than the gun. I'll pass.

Can anyone think of another major gaming icon who has 3 edutainment titles?
Man, those things always creep me out with all the mismatched re-used sprites and music from different games. It's like a Frankenstein's monster of audio-visual entertainment.

Like Tails' Skypatrol or Sonic Pocket Adventure?
Sonic Pocket Adventure was strangely endearing. Possibly because of the cute little Sonic sprite. You've lost me with Tails' Skypatrol though, what old material did it re-use? It seems fairly obvious that it probably had Tails inserted into it at the last minute, but it was all new material right?

Edutainment games aren't necessarily bad. I have fond memories of Treasure Mountain, Midnight Rescue, Operation Neptune, Super Munchers, and many others. But as fun as this may actually be, it does look like a $30 rom hack.
SEGA of America have put out a new blog entry confirming a few upcoming SEGA games that will be playable at their booth at Comic Con which is going to be held at New York City between Feb 6-8.
Sonic and the Black Knight will be one of those games besides MadWorld, The Conduit, and The House of the Dead: Overkill and the event will be one of the first times the public will have seen the game. Is anyone here going who lives in the U.S. or can afford travel to the U.S.? If so we'd love to hear your thoughts on the game.
