Why Sonic X "style". :(
Also this trailer looks like it was done in Flash.

Wow, did they forget to actually hire artists for this game or something?

Company names mean nothing. They probably just got a bunch of interns to throw this together while the real developers work on Mass Effect 2: The Massening.

But the trailer says it's the most thrilling adventure in the history of Sonic!

Are you saying a trailer can lie to me?

I can't believe people still think it is a good choice to use that trailer voice. That voice only fits to Will Ferrel movies nowadays.

How long will it be before that voice reaches Discredited Trope status?

Don LaFontaine has a name, y'know.
Personally I think it'd be awesome if you could get him to be the announcer for one of them newfangled FPS games... preferably Unreal Tournament or Team Fortress 2. The amount of awesome that would thus come out would be unfathomable.

Seriously? I don't think it's LaFontaine in the Sonic trailer.

And take away that sexy evil announcer voice TF2 has now? No way.Shadow Hog wrote:Don LaFontaine has a name, y'know.

Now I've just been reminded of my outrageous insistence that Peter Cullen should've been the announcer for Super Smash Bros.

I think Christopher Walken should be the annoucer of every single game in the world.

I suppose every game could benefit from more cowbell... no wait, the less memes the better. Silly me.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like LeFontaine.
Pat Cashman FOREVER. Forget you, Dean Harrington, your "Game Set" doesn't pack the same punch.Rob-Bert wrote:Now I've just been reminded of my outrageous insistence that Peter Cullen should've been the announcer for Super Smash Bros.

Holy crap, actual news. Shade and E-123 Omega are playable. Knuckles' overworld abilities are limited to climbing ladders. Journalists still don't realize that adding an "s" to the word "Chao" changes its meaning entirely.

I hope by "ladders" they mean "various patches of climbable terrain on walls". I kinda like Omega, so it's nice see some E-series action. We all knew Shade would be playable, but what about the story? Enlisted by GUN? To find Knuckles? Are they leaving out some other important detail?

Considering how shit the article is and how out-of-touch the writer must be (Mobius...chuckle), good bet, yeah.Rob-Bert wrote:Are they leaving out some other important detail?

You never know, Bioware might be calling it that this time around. They did mention comics as a portion of the Sonic universe...

Vector confirmed? Neat, I actually have a reason to play this game now!The Article wrote: Artistically, Chronicles sees a complete reinvention of Mobius. Sonic has always appealed more in 2D, and charming hand-drawn stills that accompany the dialogue only add to the case against 3D. Dare we say it, even Vector is palatable under BioWare's deft artistic touch.
Unless he and the rest of the Chaotix are relegated to serving as comic relief again. That'd really piss me off.

Suprised at you guys, that you've failed so far to catch the fact that there appears to be a RANKING SYSTEM in battles
Ug. Also, nice easily mangled, pixellated looking models.

There was a ranking system in Panzer Dragoon Saga and it's the best RPG I've ever played.

Re: "Sonic Chronicles" trademarked by Sega
You got more EXP, money and higher chances for item drops when you did well against the enemy (beat it quickly, took advantage of the their blind spots, took little to no damage doing so) than when you did poorly.
It actually worked very well.

Re: "Sonic Chronicles" trademarked by Sega
Nothing novel, at all. Riviera: The Promised Land for example had such a system, and it was pretty motivating trying to always get S-ranks (which is achieved by a few factors such as ending the battle quickly and finishing with an overdrive attack), the item your enemies dropped changed depending on the rank and of course higher ranks yielded higher scores. Let's see if this one is implemented as well as well.FlashTHD wrote:Suprised at you guys, that you've failed so far to catch the fact that there appears to be a RANKING SYSTEM in battles
