The levels look bland and gritty

Music Plant and Toy Kingdom are the most offensively out of place, generic, and garish Sonic levels ever. And what was up with those jack-in-the-box springs that sometimes shot spikes instead? You had to use them to progress, it's absolutely inexcusable for them to randomly stab you with no chance of escape.

Well, that makes me feel better. There will probably be areas or minigames or puzzles or whatever that MAKE you use the gun, but other than that, maybe you'll be able to play the rest of the game without touching a firearm.

They weren't random at all. The boxes were colours to indictate whether a spike or a spring would come out, and the colours flipped every time you jumped on them.

Man, first Silv doesn't notice the different coloured lamp-post stars in 3&K, and now this. Looks like we won't be short of eligible contestants for the gaming special olympics this year.

I still say it'll suck. Having attacks other than the gun was a given from the beginning. All we know now is that Shadow also uses chaos energy attacks, which we all expected. The gun is still there. Sonic Team still hasn't shown itself to be competent. But time will tell.

Feels like you should have a better reason for this. It's not that he's liked just because he's dark. I think his appeal is the same as that of Vegeta: he's a badass. Sonic used to be the one with the attitude, but he's becoming more docile and turning into Goku from the Buu saga. That's my hethenist DBZ analogous thoughts on it, anyway. The line you wrote is ok.

No Eggman type bosses at the middle of a stage.
No Eggman bosses at the end of a stage
No classic characters returning.
No turning signs at the end of a stage.
No flame shields or classic Sonic moves.
No underwater stages as Sonic.
No classic game play for Tails or Knuckles.

So what? The games don't have to mimic the classics to be good. A fire shield might be a good idea to add depth to gameplay, and water underwater Sonic levels would be a twist, but new ideas would be fine too. As long as they're good ideas.

He fixes Gmel in Sonic Advance 3 and mentions Gamma in Sonic Battle yet he can’t rebuild Gamma?

Because Gamma is, infact, a pink bird. To get the true Gamma back, he'd have to trap the animal inside again. And regardless, what sense would it make to rebuild one of Eggman's robots?

Sega of America has recently released a trailer for Shadow the Hedgehog a game about Shadow. And here is the really screwed up part he actually has a real gun. Unbelievable and amazing that Sega has fallen this much. Now before the Shadow fans complain and wine let me first explain what is wrong with this picture since your small and fragile minds cannot comprehend this on your own.

First off Miles’ Tails’ Prower and Knuckles the Echidna have been around for over 10 years. Yes they had their own games many years ago on systems that were not at all well known. Tails had the Game Gear and Knuckles had the 32X two consoles that most people don’t even remember because they were short lived. In the 3D era of gaming whom besides Sonic gets their 3D game first? Shadow a character that is merely a darker version of Sonic that was made to die in one game. Shadow has only been around for 4 years and yet Tails and Knuckles are forgotten.


Second off Shadow the Hedgehog has a gun. Gee what’s wrong with Shadow having a gun you ask? Tails, Eggman, Gamma, and Omega had guns you say? Okay you see it’s quite simply and let me put it as such. Gamma and Omega are robots for common sense’s sake of course they have guns you idiots. Next Tails and Eggman are geniuses that create and work with weapons it’s in their character. Especially Doctor Eggman who is an evil genius. Further more they had machines that had guns in them and Eggman put a non-realistic looking gun to Amy’s head once. Shadow however is a different matter all together.


Shadow the Hedgehog has his entire life ruined by an organization named G.U.N. Shadow’s friend Maria was shot to death and his father like figure Professor Gerald was murdered with guns by an organization named G.U.N. Shadow also states in Sonic Battle that he hates weapons and that they should be destroyed before they cause more pain and suffering and that no one should have to go through what he did. So why in the hell would he of all people use a gun?


That makes no sense at all, period. If that’s not enough then lets look at Shadow’s abilities. Shadow has jet shoes that give him super speed as stated in Sonic Battle. Shadow can fly as shown in Sonic Adventure 2 when he is first released. Shadow can rip through and tear through robots made of titanium easily like nothing and is a good fighter. Shadow can also do something else that voids the need for a gun. He can shoot energy for crying out loud.


Everything that Shadow does has an impact on the Sonic universe in one-way or the other. Just because it’s his game doesn’t mean it has nothing to do with Sonic. I don’t like Shadow, but even so if not for the gun then I might have thought about buying this game. If you still don’t at least understand what’s wrong by now then just stop calling your self a Sonic fan. Even if you love Shadow you should be able to see that this is wrong and will hurt Sonic and everyone’s image.


If Sega wanted a shooting Sonic related game so damn bad then they should have given us a Fang the Sniper video game, because Fang actually needs the gun and it fits his character to shoot people. Sega of America even gave Shadow a fang in the art that they released and said that Sonic came out in 1992 which indeed proves the complete and total incompetence of Sega of America. Sega of America must also think that the fang and gun make Shadow cooler. And yet there is already a character named Fang the Sniper waiting to be brought out into the light. I have now official lot all hope for Sega and their crappy ideas. I hope this is Sammy’s doing then maybe they can remember Fang and use him. Those idiots.
