This guy has a death wish. Let's abduct him, feed him to Popcorn's mom, and replace him with one of our own.

Apparently Pop's mum said he was a bit chewy.

Someone needs to post a witty reply to that. Where the fuck is Gibbon when you need him?

Hiding from that letter he sent to the Sonic comic (that was posted in a thread a while ago).

The more is see from this game the more depressed I become. This could turn out to be the best game ever made (yeah, right) and I still wouldn't give a damn. It just looks so.. average. Bland colors, bland enviroments, alien designs straight out of Archie and a dumb recolor as a main character. Heck even Iizuka looks boring in those scans. Not a single mark of the devil what so ever.

Looks like the way Super Sonic would crouch in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

I can't really comment on how this game looks, because it's just too hard to make out what is going on in those screenshots. But if you could actually believe everything the text says, the game honestly sounds OK. Most of the things they are promising sound neat to me, especially the open story structure... if I still had the faith to actually believe that they could pull these things off well, I might be excited about this game. But deep down, I just KNOW that they will botch it.

Anyhow, I guess this explains why Shadow's weapons are so ridiculously huge... they're proportioned to the size of the game's enemies.

Wow, I already hate that CG style.

Also, these faggots running the magazine LIKE Shadow. I mean, love. Burn.

That and a lot more, apparently:
the article wrote:There comes a time in every shady young hedgehog's life when he has to decide to be good or evil. Just because you're black, doesn't mean you have to be the bad guy.
...wow. XD

I actually thought the writing was pretty funny in places. It's certainly a change from Nintendo Power.

As I thought, UK gaming journalism today is about on par with US gaming journalism in 1995.

Bit unfair.

I bought about 4 issues of NOM back when I got my 'Cube, in mid '03, but it was quite awful so I stopped. It seems to have got a bit better now but it still ain't up to much. Decent UK games mags = NGC, GamesTM, PC Zone and occasionally GamesMaster.

Naturally. Any magazine that at any point in time employed Charlie Brooker = awesome.

I think you guys just don't know how AWFUL Nintendo Power is. Forget about the sorry state of American gaming journalism as a whole, because NP creates a whole new kind of terrible. It's like buying a catalog aimed at seven year olds.

NOM is also a catalogue aimed at 7 year olds, last time I checked anyway.
