Isn't the fact that you're moving at half your normal speed and billowing bubbles, along with the countdown pinging every couple of seconds, enough to remind you that you're underwater, should you forget the fact that you jumped into it with a splash (both visual and aurally represented) probably only a few seconds before?
On to Sonic the Fighters, I have a feeling some code junky might find a way to get Metal Sonic to be playble via a code device such as Action Replay or Code Breaker. We might even find a way to summon Super Sonic without having to beat every single round without losing. I don't see what use Eggman would have, seeing he only has two moves (The PPP Combo and some whirly hand attack).
I still haven't unlocked the Genesis / GG "boss demo" collections.

Your review is incorrect in regards to the Sonic CD music issue. The Japanese Gamecube version does have the original score, and the PS2 version has both soundtracks (getting the Japanese one on a US PS2 is somewhat of a irritant though). Just a heads up.
Aaaah, really? Thanks for that - I was basing that off of the PS2 version I torrented...I didn't realize it could recognize the different regions. *fixes*
Man, the Sonic CD port is really, really bad. The absense of the fading in/out transitions make the game have an uncoherent feel. The sound effects sound degraded and scratchy, and the ending sequence is so butchered- they took out the credits to boot.
Does anyone seem to notice that they got the Quartz Quadrant and Wacky Workbench tracks switched with each other? Or was it like that in the original?
The US soundtrack Quartz Quadrant is doom 'n' gloom heavy electronica, while Wacky Workbench is funky techno with people saying "shooby boo doo" and so forth. You'd be forgiven for thinking they had been switched around, given the music for the Japanese Zones and the theme of the level.
Well, according to the mp3s on Shadow of A Hedgehog, Quartz Quadrant Good Future is the one with the shooby-boo-doo music in the US soundtrack. Bad Future is also gloom and doom though, confusing.
