Is that a crown on Charmy's head, or just weird hair?

Just some random research: Here's the official Shogaku Yonensei website (<a href="http://netkun.com/sho4/index.htm">http: ... dex.htm</a>). Apparently the publication has been running for decades. Doraemon debuted in the December, 1969 issue.
Shogakukan also own Coro Coro, and it was under this label that the more recent Sonic manga (by Santa Harukaze) was published.

Here is the larger scanOh, and Big Smile, if it's not any bother could you ask Mr Hari Hari if he could please scan a larger version of the comic book cast page
Hari Hari also scanned this very interesting page. It is an interview with Sonic Team that was conducted in March 1991, a few months before the release of the first Sonic game. In it, Naka-san and Yasuhara-san reveal the full story behind Mary Garnett and the episode 1, 2 and 3 prologues.
Hari Hari has also started adding GHZ-museum style pages to his site. They contain flyers, magazine art work and other information that was never released outside of Japan. Find them here
I’m not sure he has it.I really enjoy this manga. Big Smile: do you think you can get Mr. Hari Hari to scan in the other episode as well?
They also publish the official Sonic Team guides.Shogakukan also own Coro Coro, and it was under this label that the more recent Sonic manga (by Santa Harukaze) was published.

The gist is that Yasuhara runs down the basic scenario--not too long ago, in the "Right Stuff"-esque past, there was a particular test pilot who was good at running, they called him "Sonic" (and it was written on the back of his jacket), yadayadayada. This story was forgotton in America, but some of the Sega staff recently came upon it, and so they made the game, Sonic the Hedgehog.Hari Hari also scanned this very interesting page. In it, Naka-san and Yasuhara-san reveal the full story behind Mary Garnett and the episode 1, 2 and 3 prologues.
Then Ohshima (listed as BigIsland, of course) interjects just as the story is getting good and says the story is, of course, completely made up, and Naka says (as if the topics are somehow related) that you can't play Sonic on a Super Famicom! Take that, Nintendo fanboys!
