PC Problems :(

OK, now I think I'd kill for some DSL.
I finally got this shitty old call-catcher from Emerson that seems to work.
However, my PC's started to make beeping noises. The PC itself, mind you, not the external speakers.
Supposedly, for my PC, that means that my DRAM is failing. HOWEVER - it's only done this since I've been connecting or trying to connect a switchboard to it's modem. And I'm not entirely sure it's the modem that's beeping. It's been doing it a lot more since I got rid of the new AT&T crappy Caller ID/Internet Call Alert that doesn't work, and replaced it with the old switchboard. Before it would only do it once every couple of hours. Now it's doing it about once every ten minutes.
I'm not sure if it's a virus, failing RAM, failing motherboard, or if it has something to do with the switchboards. I just started to really notice it tonight, but I remember it doing this ever since I started to try to fix up my phone lines so that I could actually know when someone is trying to get in touch with me, so that going online for a couple of hours doesn't mean shutting myself off from the rest of the world for a week.
Anyway's, I'm going through all this shit in the hopes that people will eventually - you know. Want to call me. Fat chance, I guess.
In short, my computer may be broke. Or in the process of breaking. But either way - I NEED DSL. Backwater piss-ant technophobic homonuculoids. Update your technology dammit, so that I can actually have a social life AND go online and not have to worry about self-destructing motherboards.
I'll problably take my computer in to get upgraded this week. I'll use my Mom's laptop as a loaner. I need a new motherboard and RAM, problably. I'll want a bigger hard-drive, too. I'm at least going to get it upgraded to level where I can play the Sims 2.
I hope I can afford it. But it's something I've been putting off for three years. Now that I don't have to worry about the surge of gay porn I own, I don't have a problem with finally doing it.
