Cave Story aka Doukutsu Monogatari

Put together by a one-man team over in Japan, Cave Story is one kickass little platformer. We have a fine arsenal of weapons, each with three levels of experience, a variety of secrets, three different endings, a few minor unlockables, an actual storyline, and little rabbit people. Oh, and robot panties.

Definitely worth a try, especially if you've been let down by <strike>Sonic Heroes</strike> recent platformers.

Well, barring that I'm on a Mac at home and at work, it looks like it could be fun.

There's a port for OSX out there, actually. Only thing it's lacking at the moment is a translation.

Sorry, forgot to post the link.

Mac port
That's helpful.
A translation is coming soon, and the game's pretty easy to play without it. Only thing you're missing out on it, for now, is the story, and you can read up on that with the help of the Net.

What's the point of playing a game with an actual storyline without knowing the story? :/

*bursts into laughter*

One, I'm not a virgin. Two, you don't have to have sex to know who you are attracted to. Three, it's "you're".

My god. That's one of the stupidest sentences I've ever read. Sadly, it's not the first variation of such a ridiculous idea.

Shit. What's with me today. I should have caught that "your".

1.) Yeah, I figured you still being a virgin was unlikely. I mean, some people fuck animals, so why should you be excluded.

2.) Again, an obvious point, but still unoriginal

3) Damn.

To practice the controls, and get the mechanics of the game down?

Let's do this numbered list thing again, it's fun.

1. Humans are animals.

2. You deserve nothing more eloquent than "fuck you", so,

3. Fuck you.

When we recycle arguments they become even funnier!

P.S. I approve of this version of your post over the previous version, Caffee.

1. Humans are animals. I never discounted that. So are sheep and goats. My original statement was in reference to the latter. But, you already knew that.

2 and 3. Always something good to fall back on.

I won that argument. They just haven't figured it out yet.

Illustrate how my "art" argument, which you keep bringing up as if it were something I ought to be ashamed of, was incorrect or lost or whatever.

Actually I fell back on that because I had posted something stupid, and needed to edit it before anyone read it.

I liked this game so much I emailed the author for the script and translated it into English for him to insert into the game as he saw fit. It still hasn't been released. Around the same time though, that group of ROM-translating yahoos pretty much just took it into their own hands and made the patch translation that's currently available.

I'm only a little bitter. :/
