I've been getting hundreds of them a week lately, you may have too.
So let's get together and rape someone's inbox. Suggestions?

I've got 50. I've invited one entire person to Gmail so far, so I have nothing to do with them.

I have six. I've already given a bunch away to some program that took gmail invites and gave them to people who wanted them. I don't even USE my account. At all. Ever.

I use my account, and yes, I have some invites to give away. I got like six. But, I know if I give some out to people, Google will just give me more to send out.
I don't think Gmail will ever be released to the public. I think the only way to get one is by an invite, which is why we have so many, or they just constantly give us tons of them.

It's Google's Hotmail-beater. The gimmick is that you get like 10 billion gigs of space with it, so you never, in theory, have to delete anything. Currently it's still in beta or whatever, so you can only sign up for it if someone sends you an invite.

Do you want an account? I gave away 50 invites yesterday and today I've got them all back.
It's Google's web-based e-mail service. It's pretty cool. I'll send you an invitation if you want to try it.

No thanks, I hate browser email. I'm still a fan of Outlook Express.

Gibs is the Ghost of Internet Past. He doesn't understand things like MSN.

No way. Ask Netaku. The same thing happened to him, except with like 200 invites.

10 billion gigs you say? Could I abuse this free service and use it as a bottomless FTP server or are there restrictions to attatchment sizes?

I also have six shiny, unused invites. I didn't know you automatically get given more.
I only use it for really important stuff. Everything else goes to my Yahoo account. This means that the one with th huge memory is almost empty, while the smaller one is very busy indeed. Go figure.

Same here. I use my Gmail for personal e-mail (which is basically none), and my Yahoo for everything else (forum signups, online shopping, subscriptions, etc).

The only reason I didn't use Gmail for the important stuff is because it's still in the "beta" stage so I'm not sure I completely trust them. Sometimes it doesn't work (rare I know, but still). Only recently have I started converting it to my primary and only email account.

Gmail can be used with POP3. And rules. Get it if you haven't got something comparable. I have 50 invites if anyone wants any.

Is there any reason to have Gmail if you already have a hotmail account and don't even use it that often?

You can search through your mail, so it's easier.
