Megaman fan-designed bosses.
Some are good, some are not, some are... interesting. My favorite thus far is 'Black Man'.
...Oh, and I found this: http://www.flashplayer.com/games/weezerjamsession.html
...Yeah, I'm bored.

You'd best beware his blackness.

I think I actually have that issue in my massive stack of Nintendo Powers from the early nineties. I sort of remember that contest-- From what I remember (I was really young at the time), my older brother entered it with something really cliched, like Lava Man or Lightning Man or something, and he was sort of pissed when he wasn't in the magazine.

I used to love that magazine... And then I learned how to read. That's around the same time I realized I was paying 5 dollars a month for a 90-page Nintendo ad.

I actually have that NP magazine somewhere. Several of those robots have actually been used. The Rush Cycle, Windman, Magicman, and Clownman.

And even more seem like they ended up inspiring bosses later down the line - Blademan (Swordman), Copterman (Gyroman), Springman (Coilman),

Another fan-made robot recently implemented in Megaman Battle Network 5 is . . .

Swallowman.

You heard me. Swallowman. Dude, he so needs to be paired up with Seaman.

It's worth it, sometimes. They usually have a lot more screenshots and design and production art than other magazines. If you're really into keeping tack of the visual styles of videogames, it's the best bet - as long as you don't mind the lack of articles or information on X-box or PS games.

Nah non of those Robot Masters inspired latter ones since nearly all RMs are designed by Japanese children... But I do find it odd that the Rush Cannon looks just like the Rush model made when MM8 came out... Also I find it wierd they teamed up Swallowman with Footman (a American football one)... I wonder if the design team is trying to tell us something...

Well, I know for certain that Knightman and Windman were designed by American kids.

Copter Man looks awesome. Some of this stuff reminds me of the Japanese cover art. Some of that looked like crap, but then people started caring about the picture on the box.
