Yeah, I saw this on another forum.

Couldn't have been fun for the driver. Or the deer.

I'm no physics major, but I don't think there is any possible way that could've happened.

Actually, it's possible. It's just improbable.

He could have been going in reverse at an insane speed, not noticed the deer. The deer basically explodes, his head flying across the car and through both windshields.

Actually it is possible. Even if it involves a chainsaw and a lie, the final outcome is still possible. It's also possible that the car hit it and did that, depending on how the deer was hit and at velocity the car was going. And if AMRs were involved...

I am a physics major and I'm still not sure. The end of that deer is cut quite cleanly. I see dead deers on the side of the road all the time out here and they are usually pretty fucked up, ripped and what not. As chris said, it looks like it did involve a chainsaw. Oh and being a physics major has nothing to do with this post by the way.

You're a physics major? Do you also enjoy being raped anally?

But yeah, the physics you learn in early college classes has very little to do with the physics of vehicle/animal collisions.

Yeah, but it's still similar to asking for four years of anal rape.

I think you are confusing Physics with Math.

wow.. so the deer was hit from the front.. going at around 90mph, the deer jumped into the road, the extra height and velocity caused the head and rear to be thrown off the main body by the windshield and glass cutting it.. then the body went through the car and ended making more mess as it left the rear of the car?

simple.. err.. yeah..

only question.. why would they drink Diet Coke with Deer's liver! everyone knows its a glass of red wine!

I'm at an predominantly engineering school, and the general consensus is that the physicists think the real world approximates the equations, the engineers think the equations approximate the real world, and the math majors don't see any connection between the two.

How on earth does the real world approximate equations? Did these physicists come up with the equations before the world existed and then whoever created the universe decided, hey I'll take these equations and make the world revolve around close approximations of 'em!
