Oh noes, my Dreamcast is starting to go out on me.

This just sucks. I noticed today (of all days) that the video likes to jump around during gameplay, and even cutscenes. It seems that vertical camera movement is what causes it (looking up/down in Gundam Side Story, flying upwards/downards in Skies of Arcadia, and shit, it does it while just running around in Sonic Adventure).
So, I turn to the GHZ for help. I'd rather fix this one before buying another, so does anyone have any suggestions?

God is punishing you for your previous avatar. Unless the alcohol q-tip to the lens works I think you're fucked.

I tried a lense cleaner already, though it was just one of those gay ones that spun a couple of little brushes over the lense. I'll try alcohol later.
Wasn't there some way to speed up the DC's motor? People who played entirely too many burned games had to do it, because it eventually started failing on them. I'm thinking that that may work, but I can't find the tutorial on how to do it.

Or you could spend fifteen bucks and get a new one.

I second this approach. You can get DCs now for almost nothing.

Yeah buy 2, one to use and one for backup. Or ask in the Cult forums…they may be able to help…

I've got three. Unfortunately, my original one is dead.

Never ask them. Ever. Bastards.

...I'm very proud of the plexiglass case that is laying under my couch. It contains a Dreamcast, and a message written in silver sharpie: Break in case of emergency.

Really. I'd take a picture, but I'm lazy.

Yet you went through the trouble of making a plexiglass case for your DC?

...Your point? And it's a backup DC. Hee.
...Yeah, I need to get out more.

There are plenty of good furries out there, I'm sure will be interested in you.

I'd rather have someone who's less weird than I am.

I guess I will need to get a new one, goddamn it. Not finding any really cheap ones on ebay right now, I'll look around other places later.

Shouldn't be too difficult to find.

I have one from 1999 and it still works. All my controllers still work too, even the Mega Drive ones from 1990. Even the 3rd party ones. You guys suck.

The wires on my Genesis controllers are almost worn through, and they still work just fine.

Same here, the wires in one of mine are exposed, and they still work.

I used to have 2 Dreamcasts, but I let one of my friend's have one as a present.
I also used to have 40+ Dreamcast games, but I let a shitload of my friends borrow some... And then high school ended, and I don't really get to see some of those people anymore, so those games are as good as gone. I think my DC collection is down to 25 right now.
My original DC works fine for the most part, but something is messed up with the controller ports-- You have to jiggle around the connector before it recognizes the controller.
To this date, the only system that I've ever had that completely died on me was my original NES.

Heh, that kind of reminds me of when I was younger and I borrowed a bunch of games for the NES from a friend of mine and then later ended up selling them in a garage sale.
And I would've got away with it, too, except that he recently dug out his old NES and started playing it again, only to realize that he was missing, like, half of his games.

Has he come over to your place with a baseball bat yet?

Actually, he's my roommate. The games weren't that great, anyway. It was stuff like Bugs Bunny's Birthday Bash and other garbage.

Why did you steal them in the first place?
