Nothing so innocent as that. It's a crossover with Duel Masters, which is, to my knowledge, a Yugioh ripoff.

Yeah, but that's a Pokemon rip. Which was sorta a Magic rip.

Arggh. A crossover. A tenuous link at best, surely. I have yet to see either anime, of course, but I know the card games.

Incidently, am I the only card guy on these here boards?

Rock Man EXE was pretty stupid as it was--in terms of character designs and writing, at least. This really doesn't drag it down too much lower.

Every card game is a rip off of Magic, pretty much.

Duel Masters was created by the same company that created Magic.

Yes. Duel Masters was actually created by a Japanese divison of Wizards of the Coast. For the first few issues of the Duel Masters manga, those goofy Japanese kids actually played Magic: The Gathering. It was weird.

Wizards of the Coast is doing a three-pronged TCG attack. Neopets for little kids. Duel Masters for preteens and young teens. Magic for older teens and adults.

And it's not a crossover, it's a double feature. Rockman has a Soul Fusion with Forte and kicks some ass. Some stupid shit that I don't care about happens in the card movie. I don't care.
