It would have been better if a truck full of bricks fell on his face.

Considering his hate of women and his gay bashing and his obvious lust for Dr. Dre, I can only draw the obvious conclusion that Eminem is a self-hating closet case.

Oh, and he sucks. And not as in wang. Just in general.

I'm not going to justify the man's beliefs or lyrics or whatnot, but I do enjoy some of his songs. Then again, there really isn't much I won't listen to.

I've been trying to think of who the defining musical talent for our generation will be. You know, who's going to be our Bob Dylan?

I hope history does not look at Eminem as that person for us.

What Eminem's 32 years old?

I didn't know because I didn't care.

While I don't like all of his work, I personally think that the Marshall Mathers LP is a very enjoyable ablum.

I'll agree with that, certainly. "Kill You" and "Stan" were great.

So all in all, would you say a portapotty thing is better or worse than having two or three big men protect him from a poorly-manufactured dog puppet on national television?

I'm not into rap (on account of it sucking) but I do think Eminem is one of the few properly original-- even clever-- artists working in the genre. I think he's a fucking good lyricist, actually.

Rap ain't so bad. Like a lot of things, it has some good qualities to it. The current state of the genre is in ruins though.. there seems to be more bad than good artists out there.

Anyway, I'm a fan of Eminem's music, and I while "Encore" isn't as great as I thought it would have been, "The Eminem Show" certainly rules.

I think it's good that he at least gives some money to noteworthy causes. That doesn't excuse all his behavior, but it's surprising considering how he acts in the media.

Hey, you know what rapper I like? The guy who raps about something other than himself and how great he is. You know the guy.

I don't think the fact that Eminem can rhyme well makes him a good lyricist. His lyrics are all complete tosh, he only ever raps about himself and Dr Dre, and everyone seems to love it because it rhymes. There are a pile of rappers and hip hop artists at least as 'clever' as Eminem who are actually moving the genre forward, they just don't make it to the top ten.

I think his songs are way better than most of the rappers out there today. I even like a few. Being better than the rest doesn't make you good though.

Did you lose your train of thought or something Adam?

It must be fascinating to be so self-obsessed that you think that you think people will find you rapping about the same old mundane events of your day interesting.

TODAY I MADE SOME CASH
AND SQUEEZED A PIECE OF ASS
THEN I SMOKED A HIT
AND TOOK A MOTHER-FUCKIN' SHIT

But Will Smith... man, that's even better. You too can construct a chorus to a Will Smith song, using only the following words and phrases: "Big Will," "UHH," and "haHA haHA." Maybe toss in the name of the guest singer for good meassure.

Yeah, I love that joke. I use it all the time whenever I someone mentions Will Smith.

I can't remember where it's from, though.

As far as I'm concerned with the rap scene, MC Paul Barman & The Bloodhound Gang are where it's at. Oh, and whenever Beck decides to do a rap track, I usually dig those as well.

I liked that guy who did the "Rockin' the Mic" track on the JSRF soundtrack. I think it was credited to "The Prunes" or something like that? I never did find any more music by whoever they were.

The Pocket Dwellers are pretty cool, as well. I like K-os OK, too, and even the Black Eyed Peas have their moments. I think that pretty much encapsulates my entire rap CD collection.

I'm often partial to a bit of Diamond D, DJ Format, Phi Life Cypher, Jurassic 5, I try to like quite a lot really, but it's more 'Hip Hop' than 'Rap'. Still very good though and better than bloody Eminem.
