Target becomes my best friend

Post by Squirrelknight »

Target has suddenly become one of the best stores in the world.

Though it is a shame about how small locally-based drug dealers will be forced out of business.

Ha. Do you think it's real, or just a weather baloon or something?

It's a book, but I can't help but roll my eyes at arguably the hundreds of stupid loser pot heads out there who're ordering this thing thinking they'll honestly get some.

Explain the logic underlying that conclusion.

Nah. They are trying to de-criminalize possession of small amounts, but it would still be illegal to grow and sell. Kinda like how it's not illegal for minors to buy cigarettes, but it's still illegal for vendors to sell them to them.

Practically speaking, pot can't be fully legalized up here as long as the Canada/US border remains as open as it is. The US administration would flip. It's been a long time since a Canadian government was that willing to deliberately piss off the Americans.

Yeah, they de-criminalised it here in the UK. There is in fact, a (rather shady and illegal) cannabis cafe in my home town.

Aww, they took it down. Now you can't get weed for $25.25/kilo anymore.

I caught the tail end of that flick on HBO one time.

I think Mike Myers only has, like, three different voices that he uses and then just keeps playing himself in every movie. Let's see, there's the coffee talk woman, the Scottish accent, and Dr. Evil.

What about the Austin Powers accent?

Does anyone else find it amazing how he was so good in Wayne's World and then just became so unbelievably awful. It's like John Cleese, you know, where did it all go wrong?

It's not John's fault. He says the new PC world just is an inhospitable climate for the kind of humour he used to do. He sounds pretty bitter about it actually, I gather he views most of his more recent roles as bill-paying work and nothing else.

It's true I suppose. It's just such a shame, Monty Python was so good. I've just been watching Flying Circus again and I love it.

"If anyone ever attacks you with a raspberry simply pull the lever and the 16 ton weight will drop on his head."

But that dosen't excuse Mr Myers, he's young and healthy and should still be funny.
