I thought Blue Burst had been out in Japan on GC or PC or something for a while now, but apparently I'm missing something, 'cause I just looked into the world of PSO news for the first time in ages and it seems that Episode 4 has just been confirmed as part of the BB package.

If you scroll down a bit on the front page, http://www.planetdreamcast.com/psoworld/ has the scoop. Or something. I can't say I'm at all interested in it-- I refuse to buy the same game four times-- but... well, I'm surprised. In an unsurprised kind of way.

I really, really hope PSU is good. The PSO world has so much fucking potential... it can be expanded infinitely in all kinds of directions, and Sonic Team have just been taking the boring ones. There's so much space for a major overhaul and I'm praying PSU will serve that purpose.

When was the last time we had a Sonic Team game with graphics that made you say 'wow'? SA2?

So... Episode 4 takes place two months after Episode 2... Which would mean its still a few decades before Episode 3. ...Sonic Team really needs to plan these things out better. But since it takes place right after Ep. 2, I guess Naka didn't lie, as Ep. 3 is still the conclusion of the story arc. A crappy conclusion though. For those interested, here's the TITANIC SPOILER OF THE END OF THE ENTIRE PSO STORY ARC: After you beat the game with both sides, you get to see a picture of Pioneer 2 landing on Ragol during the end credits. That's it.

But yeah, unless they do something REALLY awesome with PSU, besides better graphics, I won't even consider looking at it.

Whenever I see the weapon choices for PS games - the swords and guns, I can only think of that one scene in Indiana Jones:

A deadly swordman approaches Indy, and dazzles him with a spectacular display of fencing.

And Dr. Jones, with a look of complete and utter disgust, simply draws his pistol and shoots the guy in the chest.

Now picture that with a laser gun instead.

Why have a "Saver" when you could have a "Double Saver"?

I say the best weapon is that new Dagger, which they seem to have gotten rid of... And whats worst then the ending of Episode 3 is the stupid boss you have to fight right before it... You thought how it would be so great based on what the other bosses look like, but no you fight a piece of vomited up gum...

That new Machine Gun looks like a paintball gun.

And if this is only for Blue Burst, this means we're not going to get it over here, yeah?

Well, if you consider what it was supposed to be... (SPOILER)It was just a big pink stump with pieces of the Ep. 1 and 2 bosses in it, but the Great Shadow was supposed to be the fucked-up remains of Dark Falz and anything infected with DF cells... So yeah, I guess it fits with the story. That's not to say that it wasn't a damn ugly and retarded looking boss. The two chicks you fight (the one with the gun and the one with the sword... Depends on which side you play) before the Great Shadow are pretty cool looking though.

And yeah, I don't think Blue Burst is gonna get released over here. But then again, it is Sonic Team, and they'll find any reason to re-release a game.

I think PSO was a great game, the first PSO before Game Shark was great, then the cheats made the feel diferent, ant then there were more versions of the same game (ver 2, I&II) whith cheats too, but This PSO is the ultimate PSO, whith no cheats, no data erases and no more versions, this as a PC game will be updatet every time Sonic Team wants to do it, I'm going to get this game, a friend of mine is actually playing it, the game has japanese and english languages, it comes whith 2 months of Hunter's Licence payed, and the game costs US$ 24.90 in playasia.
I don't know what PSU will be, a MMORPG or a normal storyline-RPG, if there is one or other I will like it bec it will have things of PSO and Phantasy Star series, but actually I prefer that as a normal RPG (but at the anouncement I wanted that to be a MMORPG)
