I was hoping we'd get nominated for forum of the year.

Wait... Sonic Stadium still exists?

How, HOW is the GHZ not nominated for "Best Information Station"? I mean, SERIOUSLY.

I was thinking that. What I don't get is, HOW is the GHZ NOT even any of the nominees???

Maybe it's just too good?

I suppose big_smile could be considered the GHZ rep?

I think our quirky antics scare off the layman. The average Sonic user problably prefers their Hedgehog info sans boobie jokes.

Philistines.

Yes, but it's always been nominated in the past. If not for these Sonic site awards, then for... some other ones. I guess I wasn't paying attention enough to remember the name. So obviously, this is important enough to me to be REALLY OUTRAGED that the ghz wasn't nominated.

I don't know dude, I'd rather learn how to make sprites of a purple Sonic wearing jeans and shades. I'll call him Speedy the Radhog.

An excerpt from the e-mail Dreadknux sent me regarding Smile's nomination:
Excepting the individual awards, The Green Hill Zone
was considered too big a force to be allowed to enter
the Sonic Site Awards 2004. However, The GHZ has been
automatically placed in the Sonic Elite Awards, a
straightforward awards poll involving the larger Sonic
websites on the internet. Find it here:

I question the defenition of the "Best Effort" catagory, as most of those sites seemed a little... uh, "below par", so to speak.

Do you guys really even care if you win those awards? Not to make you feel any less special or anything.

Why should we?

The only thing these awards do for me is remind me that The Sonic Stadium is actually still around.

Maybe we would've if the booby thread had come earlier. XD

So the misconceptions are really misconceptions.

Now that I came myself it isn't too bad here. The thing I see is that there are no other forums. I'm new and more of a moderate SatAM Sonic fan, so I'm not even close to the games at all.

Hello, all Segaones anyway.

I do really recommend an introduction thread. Maybe I missed it. But more forums perhaps.

Apparently you can't vote for just one or two categories, you have to vote for them all, so aside from Rlan and big_smile, I have no idea what the fuck I was voting for. I had no idea how popular that sprite comic shit was.

So we can be just like all the other forums out there? Ha.

Hey, Holic, if you ever, and I mean EVER put up an introduction forum, I will come to your house and RAPE YOU WITH AN ALUMINUM BAT.

Just so's we're clear.

I hate having a bunch of different forums for different topics. I'm glad the GHZ is not one of those places.

Aside that it is such an unnecessary hassle for everyone, it's also quite totalitarian on the webmaster and moderater's part.

Yeah yeah, we already decided all this before we opened the forum, remember? So if an introduction forum is ever opened, it wasn't me.
