Let it be known that I really, REALLY like the Persona 4 franchise. (I like the Shin Megami Tensei series in general, but P4 is my current favorite of the bunch) So when I got an ATLUS Faithful message this morning saying that a localized version of the new PSVita port was due for a Fall 2012 release, I was quite pleased.

This is, of course, on top of the August release of Persona 4 Arena and the eventual English-language release of the anime as well.

So each Persona sequel is its own franchise? The hell's up with that?

Incidentally I'm playing Strange Journey again. 'Cause the Demonica suit. Which should be SMT's thing, not emaciated teenagers.

Well, sort of--it's kind of like Final Fantasy, where you have one game in the overarching series (i.e. VII), and then that particular game gets its' own specific sequels and spinoffs (i.e. Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core).

Who's the character with the red hair on the far right? Maybe my memory is fuzzy, but I don't remember her.

That's the cutesy chick whose shadow was a stripper. Her hair is brown in game.

I actually saw all of the anime, which was a decent conversion (more or less) of the plot of the game, with some new stuff here and there.

I haven't even beaten the original Persona 4, but so far the new stuff they've shown in The Golden (winter events!) looks nice.

That's just your standard Engrish. The localization is just called "Persona 4 Golden".

Kind of like how the new fighter spinoff/sequel is called "Persona 4 the Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena" in Japan, while the English-language version is simply "Persona 4 Arena".

...Atlus seems to like using "the" a lot.
