So! I am going to California on Monday, just because. I'll be in Sacramento for two weeks, and I have literally no idea what to do when I'm there, apart from visit Frisco and try to snowboard on the roads. Is it gay to call it Frisco? I'm sure it won't matter.

Anyway. Some of you may live locally or have visited before, and I was hoping to get some recommendations on places to visit and so on. Hell, if you're that local we can grab a beer and tear shit up! Figuratively speaking. Gay joke.

I'm gonna be in NYC around the same time. That's like right next to California, right? We should meet up for drinks.

I'm up for that! After all, how big can America be?

No, we don't even call it that. It DOES get called San Fran an awful lot, but that's gay.

Aw, man. I'd love to visit Hollyweird and soak up the crazy, but I think it's a little out of the way. It sucks that most of the places I wanted to visit (Long Beach, Garden Grove, anywhere else that Sublime ever mentioned in their music) are a heck of a trip for a guy with no car and no money, but hey, New Year in the USA! I can go to a 7-11! And have waffles for breakfast!

Guys! I'm in the sort of middle area but I can't find Mike's or Joe's. There's a parking lot and a fire hydrant and a stray dog and a closed strip mall. Can you give directions? I have $8.20 left.

edit: Please hurry. I'm stealing wifi from a gas station and I think the pump guy's starting to get suspicious.

All right, I got you. Take a left out of the gas station, drive straight until you reach the rotary. I dunno if you guys have them, they're kind of a pain to maneuver. There should be a sign for "New York City" and a sign for "Los Angeles". Once you're on the right road, just go straight until you hit the city you're after. It shouldn't be too far.

I think I took a wrong turn somewhere... I'm in some part of the USA I don't recognise. It's cold and everything smells of maple syrup. There's a bear... I think it's bilingual.
