I dreamt last night that I ate fart flavor ice cream.

I thought this was important enough to create a thread about it.


It's actually not that far of a stretch from spinach, tofu, wasabi, Chinese cabbage, cheese, soba, sweet potato, or any of the other wonderfully bizarre ice cream flavors I've sampled. I've heard talk of charcoal flavor available in a nearby town, though my expeditions there have yet to turn up any results.

So, this is the weird ice cream thread. Please share your experiences.

I was just about to suggest searching for a shit flavored ice cream. If it's anywhere, it'll be in Japan.

I had black soybean (kuromame) ice cream in central Japan. It looked like charcoal, but I still have no idea how to describe its taste. Tasty, though!

I have no idea if he's famous beyond the UK, but one of Heston Blumenthal's signature dishes is bacon and egg ice cream. My favourite Heston dish was a selection of jelly dildos for his Victorian banquet. Does that say something about me?

Sesame ice cream is amazing if you can get your hands on it. I can't, and I still get cravings 6 months on.

The important question is, was it your own fart flavour, or somebody else's?

Also I had chilli ice-cream once. It was pretty hard to eat though, it was just really spicey (ironic considering ice-cream is normally a very effective counter to spiciness).

I once had salt water and butter ice cream in Japan. It tastes kind of like the sensation of every one of your taste buds dying in rapid succession.

Great heavens man, where in Japan?

Eastern Kyoto in 2003. Apparently it was a record heat stroke or something.

Also, it was from one of those Mister Softee ice cream trucks.
