The first teaser trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon was just released. As a fan, I'm quite excited--especially since it's been long confirmed that the Decepticon Shockwave is going to be a major villain in this.

The first and second films were absolute, unadulterated shit. The only way I'd spend o a cent on this film is if I can personally punch Michael in nuts.

I am confused by the way they present these space-based trailers. In the first movie they say that every major technological advancement of the 20th century was made possible by analyzing Megatron, who was handily locked up in a basement somewhere. If they had some giant Extra Terrestrial robot, why would anyone be surprised that there was also a wreck on the moon? Even if it were kept a secret from the general public, wouldn't it make a huge change in the way the government runs the space program? We were even expected to be surprised by the findings of the mars lander in the original movie's teaser. Also, if they have in their possession a giant man who is capable of interplanetary travel, they've done a pretty crappy job of studying him if the Apollo 11 is the best they could do.

Not that I really expect them to keep their mythology straight, but, y'know. I still watched and kind of enjoyed those shitpiles, I'd like it if they at least tried.

Shockwave's a shitty choice for a space-themed movie, no?

I can safely say this will be the best of the three. Take from that what you will.

Well, it's possible, but it's like saying the third bowel movement you've made since eating a bowl of fiberglass was the best of the three because your asshole has been desensitized.

I didn't see either Transformers movie, but that was the best analogy that's ever been posted here and quite possibly on the entire internet.
