Did this really deserve a entire thread so long after its release?

What?

-and it does have the Japanese voices. Maybe it just doesn't like you.

Disc space. Because Nintendo's just got to be the odd-man-out, and that's why they're dying.

Technically, there should be room for both audio tracks on there. The problem, unless I'm mistaken, is that the audio for the FMV cut scenes is embedded right into the videos. In other words, on the PS2 and Xbox, there are two copies of each video on the disc... I think. And there definitely isn't enough room for THAT on the Cube.

Am I missing something? I have the Gamecube version and I played it in Japanese, and it's not even an import. I know I'm not that crazy because I remember that if you changed the language audio to Japanese, everything turned Japanese. The menus and even the dialogue in the cutscenes. I took this screenshot from my cube when WB was asking for Metal Sonic pictures:

Everything *does* turn to Japanese; except the audio.

But then the Gamecube version was released first. How did it sell anyways?

From what I can tell, the Cube version is selling pretty well and the PS2 version has sold decently. The Xbox version, predictably, is being bought by nobody.

That warms my cockles, despite my owning of the system. And my cockles needed it.

Well, what do you know? I thought this was only in the Xbox version?

So why does the PS2 version has both the English or Japanese dialouge and alternate subtitles options in the Option menu like it was in the Adventure games?

I know the game was realeased in January, but I just dicovered it (the language thing) now.I´ve heard Cream´s and Tail´s (new) voices at an episode of Sonic Xtreme, and would´nt like to do that again, plus the fact that I´m kinda afraid of hearing Charmy´s and Vector´s american voices and discover how ridiculous they are. But, if I understood what you all said, it should be worth to put the language in japanese after finishing the game once. Man, that Metal Sonic pic was one BIG FAT spoiler.

I like your cockles. They're big and juicy.

Levity aside, aren't cockles a type of mollusk?

Isn't there an Action Replay code for the Gamecube version that allows the Japanese voices to be turned on, but only for the in-game sections (i.e. not the FM parts). I remember reading about it a few months ago.

Is Ryan Drummond dubbing Sonic in this game? What about all the other characters (except Tails, obviously)? No spoilers, please.

I believe all the characters are the same except Tails, who is now voiced by William Corkery.

The complete list of English voices is as follows:

Ryan Drummond: Sonic the Hedgehog, Metal Sonic
William Corkery: Miles "Tails" Prower (voice: English version)
Scott Dreier: Knuckles the Echidna
David Humphrey: Shadow the Hedgehog
Lani Minella: Rouge the Bat
Jon St. John: Big the Cat, E-123 Omega
Jennifer Douillard: Amy Rose
Sarah Wulfeck: Cream the Rabbit
Marc Biagi: Espio the Chameleon
Bill Corkery: Vector the Crocodile
Emily Corkery: Charmy Bee (Geez, did they got this whole family to do voice work here)
Deem Bristow: Dr. Eggman

Whew, it makes things much more tolerable. Just one more question: Who does Charmy Bee and Vector look alike (in the voices)? Just to get prepared.

Vector's got some sort of New York accent going on, and Charmy sounds like a six year old kid after drinking way too much caffein.

That´s a lot less worse than I´ve tought. I´ve tought Vector was like Ryan Drummond, but rougher and A LOT less convincent, and the first thing I´ve tought about Charmy's american voice was: "Male. Mary Poppins."
