Not sure if anyone noticed this yet, but apparently there's going to be another Crush 40 album up for retail release on the 18th of November...in Japan. It's called "Super Sonic Songs", and the name seems apt--I'd say at least half the songs on there are from Sonic games. Take a look at the tracklist:
01. I Am… All Of Me (new mix)
02. His World (new mix)
03. Un-gravitify (new recording)
04. All Hail Shadow
05. Never Turn Back
06. Revvin’ Up
07. Into The Wind
08. Watch Me Fly…
09. Fire Woman (new recording)
10. Sonic Heroes
11. What I’m Made Of…
12. Live Life
13. Knight Of The Wind (new mix)
14. Live & Learn
15. Open Your Heart (new mix)
16. Is It You (new recording)
From the looks of things, just about every major console game from Sonic Adventure to Black Knight is represented on that list (with the curious exception of Unleashed)...

Not enough butt rock on that one, I guess.
I liked the first disc and looking forward to his new material, no matter how little of it there may be.

Well, at least you got your priorities straight.

Crush 40 didn't do anything for Unleashed, though. I don't recognize Live Life.

I believe that's the tune that plays over the ending credits for Black Knight.

You know what might be worse?
Amazon Japan reveals some parts of the tracklist, which includes such
gems as "Throw It All Away", E-102's theme, a demo version of "Lazy Days", and remixs of "Dreams of an Absolution" and "All Hail Shadow".

Those

But boring album cover is dead boring.

Well...yes, admittedly, those ARE decent tunes (personally, my favorite Shadow theme was the 2006 version of "All Hail Shadow, but that's just me). I'm actually interested in seeing what the remixes are like...and what the rest of the tracklist is like, for that matter.
EDIT:
The official Crush-40 website has a sampler MP3 available for listening. It's got bits of every song (old and new) that's going to be on the album in it.

Yeah, I know--but I have to manage to live with myself somehow.

That is literally the best thing ever.
...on a side note, Does anyone have guitar tabs for it? I could die happy knowing how to play Big's theme.

I liked all of them except All Hail Shadow.

I quite liked the sound of that Crush 40-ised Un-gravitify. ButI'm sad like that.
The second CD sounds like its going to be dull, except Lazy Days. I just want a CD of old Sonic music remade with instruments.

Never expected
Look-a-like to get an official CD release. This greatly pleases me. Would be even nicer if they release the background music someday, though the chances of that are close to nil.

If by the "background music" you mean that instrumental piece that played on the trailers then I completely agree. I was never able to find a decent mp3 of that song.

I think he means the piece that plays when the camera moves through the clouds and towards South Island near the beginning of the film and the music playing when Sonic and Tails traverse the Land of Darkness.
If anyone released clean and full version of both of them I would jump up and down giggling and with a heart hovering over my head.

I think he means a full BGM soundtrack CD.
They'd have to release a full version of Look-a-like first, though, rather than a "Short Edited Ver."

No love for the one with the chorus reminiscent of SA's Egg Carrier adventure field bgm? :(

I just threw a post on their comments (in Japanese) saying how I'd really like a full soundtrack for the OVA. It's not likely, but why not ask, right? Looks like they screen their comments though, I wonder if they'll really post it.
