Club Nintendo Rewards Announced

Post by Zeta »

There are three rewards.

Two are available only to Platinum Members.

One is available only to Gold Members.

You may choose only one.

The rewards are:

Punch-Out! Doc Lewis vs Little Mac - An exclusive Wii Ware game desinged on Wii Punch-Out, Doc Louis vs Little Mac gives Little Mac a new opponent - his own mentor Doc Lewis!

Mario Hat: A life-size replica of Mario's hat.

Nintendo Calendar: The Gold reward, a wall-Calendar, each month features a different Nintendo game.

I picked the Mario hat, of course.

So I guess us "Europeans" are shit out of luck?

I made my own Mario hat. It's super cool.

The quality of that hat had better be good.

Here. Mario is me, obviously. The guy in the SuperTed outfit is my mate DJ Dan. He had a Michaelangelo costume too, which was pretty sweet.

I would take a Mario hat but I don't have nearly enough of those stupid club points.

I feel like an outcast for not being such a huge Mario fanatic... I choose the calendar. It shall be passed through my family as an heirloom... Clearly, it's the gift that will never become outdated.

...Oh, wait.

I've never played any of the Punch-Out!! games, but the Mario hat seems just...silly. I don't know what to pick.

Watch as something from the "next year"'s Catalog blows both out of the water, like a replica of the Master Sword.

I just want something Pokemon related on the damn site to cash my coins in for. Like 800 coins for an Arceus beanie plush.

I just want them to add something new to the site, period. How long's it been since the NA Club opened, and the "highlight" item is still the G&W Collection which I have not nearly enough points for.

(i got the mario hat, btw)

Just a guess based on repeated patterns of Nintendo screwing over early supports by putting out the good shit for johnny-come-latelies. Even if a replica of the MS was only about the size of a letter-opener, it'd still be preferable to a foam hat.

Really, though, chances are that it'd be a Luigi cap or Donkey Kong's necktie.

DIdn't they already make a MS replica back when Twilight Princess came out? They sold it as a Target-exclusive (and it came with a certificate and Hylian Shield)...

Yes, actually. Yes they did. I see where you're coming from, Bugman; I just thought I had missed something. At least it's free, though, right? :P

Also, I would totally take a DK tie.

I think Arcade has potential to become the forum mascot. After we're done sharing our thoughts, he blurts out some kind of gibberish and we all laugh until the screen fades out.

For of those that didn't hear (based on how club.nintendo is acting up, probably no-one) Platinum status nets you a swank figure of the core Super Mario cast, which, as I predicted, blows the previous Hat You Can't Wear out of the proverbial water.

What lies in wait for next year, I wonder.

This is the first time I ever got something and it is a calendar? Really?

I would have preferred a NES game on VC over this garbage.

If you received an NES game on the VC, you'd have called that garbage too.

Do you notice how it says they'll have the calendar shipped by the end of December? I'm not even going to be expecting it by the time it arrives.

The new year is probably the best time to receive a calender anyway. It'll make for a pleasant surprise at any rate.
