So I saw this a few weeks ago when it was added to the cell phone software parade that is WiiWare and didn't pay much attention to it. I thought it was just another in the Art Style line, which are all very creative and nice-looking, but - and mind, I have yet to actually try one - look like about as much fun as painting a warehouse with a calligraphy brush.

But it turns out this is from Kenji Eno, who I had assumed was either dead or in a mental institution. It's his first game in like a decade. Of course I have never actually liked any Kenji Eno games, but I think it was really important that he was there. Gaming in the 90's wouldn't have been gaming in the 90's without Eno throwing madness like the three-save mirror and graphicless adventure game for the blind onto the table.

I would dare to venture to ask if this was any good, but that's irrelevant. It's just kind of comforting to have Kenji back in town. I, for one, am ready for D3.

I remember reading he was coming out with a new game, but I didn't know it was this soon and for the Wii. Glad to see someone as off off-beat as him has a place in the industry. I wonder what he's been doing these past 10 years?

There's a pretty interesting interview he had with EGM back in September. I only skimmed through it, so I don't know if it says what he's been doing all these years.
