They have a lot of charm and cute writing, but the gameplay wasn't that interesting till the third one.

I'm definitely pumped for this, though.

For the record, he's apparently a star that fell into the sea and gained the powers of a starfish.

I played Densetsu no Stafy 3. While the whole game (except for the fiendish final final boss) is terribly easy, it's all very charming and fun.
I'm glad this series is finally reaching western shores, they were missing out on something.
