Did you know? When Toy Story was originally conceived, it was about a wind-up toy lost by its owner, stolen by a sociopathic toy abuser and a crazy toy collector, who eventually ends up happy in a daycare? They had to shave the plot down for one movie and luckily had the extra crap lying around when sequels were called for.

Of this, I am glad.

So who's the voice of Slinky Dog, now?

Just got back from Up, it was indeed awesome.

Does anyone else hope the other characters from the Buzz cartoon appear? It'd make for a nice little cameo.

The Buzz Lightyear cartoon was pretty awful.

I liked everything about it except for the part where Andy is talking about Woody. That just seems a bit forced.

It does seem to be a little bit odd to be that concerned about Woody. Frankly a young adult can show that much concern about a childhood possession... but... Maybe a dead relative gave it him or something.

Did I miss Slinky Dog? Maybe they'll leave him out.

Slinky's still in the film. He's being voiced by Blake Clark.

I suspect the film'll end with Andy giving Woody (and perhaps the rest of the toys) to some five-year-old kid, and that's who he's talking to in that bit.

Considering Woody's age, I always assumed Andy got Woody from his deceased father.

Saw it last night. It's beyond wonderful. The end credits were some of the best genuine laughs I've had in a theater for a long time. The dance sequence especially is enough to bring tears to your eyes. Thank you for making me believe in magic Pixar.

There was a Toy Story 2?

I want to see this so bad it's actually causing me physical pain. And they don't sell Advil in this country.

I'm assuming it would take nothing short of a miracle to top or even match the first two movies, but I think Pixar's business model is based on miracles.
