I couldn't find that selling thread so I just made a new one

Ok, since I lost interest in video games and do not care about Sonic any more either way, I have decided to get rid of some of my Sonic games. Primarily the ones I never liked anyway and which I would never play (and if I did, just get enraged about their lack of quality), and in the end only kept as parts of a collection, but seeing how owning them actually makes my shelf look like a disgrace I have decided to finally free myself of them.
I'm selling Sonic Heroes (GC), Shadow the Hedgehog (GC), Sonic Riders (GC) and Sonic Adventure DX for 5€ (plus shipping) each and MaSOchistic Games for Wii for 10€ (plus shipping). They're all PAL versions and thus only run on European consoles, unless you have a Freeloader.
If the shipping costs would grow too expensive I'll subtract 5€ from the price, haha.
Pics taken with my PSP cam JUST BECAUSE I CAN. (And before I found out I could make them a higher-res.)

Yeah, I also sold all my Sonic games that were made for systems after the Dreamcast last early December. I couldn't take it anymore, man.
Though my sister did get me the PS2 version of Sonic Unleashed for Christmas. I wonder what to do with that once I'm done with it.

Wow, even the inside of PAL Gamecube cases look different.

Wait, Sonic Adventure? Lack of quality? Are you refering specifically to the DX version? If so, then what makes that version so much worse than the original game? And if you are not refering specifically to the DX version but simply to Sonic Adventure... well then, like, are you... you know... special? You know, in the head? Its okay if you are (we're all special in our own way). Im just curious.

Or he could just already own the original? Then again, he's P.P.A.!

I remember him showing disinterest in SA when he was talking about how good Sonic06 really is.
So I guess special in the head is one way to put it.

S'ok, it's only the weak GC port. So buy it off him, recieve it, and send it straight back to his special ass with anthrax/dead animal/the toxic cocktail of your choice in the box.
(Although, that is one copy of Sonic 06 we know will never go back into circulation)

I....I wouldn't go that far just because he happens to have an inferior opinion. Besides, shipping to Germany's to much of a bitch.

I plan to eventually buy Sonic Adventure DC to see if it's less terrible than most of SADX.
As for Sonic 06, there is no reason why I should sell such a high-quality, fully finished and excellent piece of digital art!! Also I am reminded I should perhaps sell Secret Rings, but I think I'll keep it just for how awesome Night Palace is.

Ugh... I agree with you, P.P.A., about the quality of Sonic '06's artwork, but just bringing that up is sure to bring up some explosive arguments around here...
Quick question: Do you still own Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast? I always prefered that version of the game, at least asetically.

The DX rerelease robbed it of some of its charm, but I don't think there was enough difference that the original DC would change anyone's mind. It's possible that it's a combination of playing backwards through the 3D series, being introduced to SA1's finer points through them having been run into the ground in subsequent releases, and going back essentially two generations (if he didn't play it until after he played S06), when 3D gaming could still be a bit of a "work in progress".
I refuse to be part of a slap-fight about what 3D Sonic game is best, though, especially an ongoing one. He's entitled to his opinions, I don't think any less of him. Kinda like how I wouldn't think any less of someone with an amputee fetish.

A friend of mine saw her little sister playing Sonic Adventure DX one day and now refuses to play any version of SA, despite liking SA2: Battle and the Genesis games quite a bit. (I remember her buying Sonic Heroes when that first came out, but I don't remember what she thought of it.)
I never played DX, so I can't really judge. I love and own the original, of course.

A friend of a friend of mine played and enjoyed Sonic 06, but when said friend gave her SA2:B as christmas gift, she only played the first Sonic stage and the first Knuckles stage before declaring the controls to be so awfull that she would'nt bother trying to play it ever again, and demanded that my friend took it back. Hmm... you know, that makes me wonder... That girl has a mild mental retardation, so perhapes there really is a rare type of "specialness" whose symptoms include the victim hating good Sonic games while loving Sonic 06.

I never got the full story out of her. She said it just looked like a terrible game. I don't think she ment graphically either. Which makes me wonder what part of the game she saw. I think she just passed judgment on it too quickly.
But even when I offered to show her the DC version, she refused. She really wanted to see Sonic CD (on Sonic Gems) when she was looking through my games though (on a different occasion).

So is anyone actually going to buy shitty games that you can find for 2 dollars at EB's bargin bin?
Only thing there worth money is Mario and Sonic, and that is for 'casual' people.

I think you just got price-check'd, PPA. You're gonna lose a potential customer there, unless you start matching your competitors!
Ah, to be caught in the exquisite crossfire of a competitive pricing campaign. A joyous time to be a consumer.

Ok how about this. Shadow + Heroes + Riders for 10€, SADX and Masolympics for 5€ each?

I'll take them off your hands if you pay me for it. Additional fees may be incurred in order to cover the cost of hazardous material pickup and disposal. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, here.

Can you assure that they aren't just normally dumped or incarnated (the toxic fumes would be too dangerous) but professionally taken care of? I heard nuclear bombs get rid of such materials the most easily, plus the destruction and pollution they cause is nowhere near that of the games!

Standard protocol around here is to either drive up to the Canadian border and frisbee them into Kogen's backyard, or to allow the offending products to decompose naturally in a vat of my rancid jizz. I'm sure you'll find my methods to be of equal or greater efficiency- you're welcome to personally supervise the procedure to ensure that we meet your lofty standards.

lol. Apparently a forum guest tried to reply to it back in 1969. I assume he/she deleted it afterward. It's the last thread on the last page (38).
